I just wanted to let you know about a signing that took place on Friday, Oct 3 in Derry NH. I found out last minute that Lance Rock, Jimmy Rave and Christy Hemme were going to be doing an autograph session at a Ford dealership. The signing was going to be from 2 till 4. I got up there with a friend a little after one and there was one person there. The guy said that only Christy Hemme was going to be there. He told me that everyone he spoke to at the dealership either did not know about it or only knew that Christy was going to be there.
A few more people showed up and a sale person told us that there was free food and drinks for the people at the signing. The Ford place had a BBQ going. Hot Dogs, steaks, chicken, and more. A local NH radio station arrived and set up a give away thing and began to promote the signing.
At 2pm there were still only 7 people there. It was crazy. No one knew about the signing. Around 2:20 Christy drove up, followed by Lance Rock and Jimmy Rave. When everyone got out of the cars, we saw that Jacqueline was with them. Jackie did not go to the signing table see went to one of the stores near by.
By friend walked by Lance and Rave when they were heading to the store and one of them said “there is no one here, what a joke.”
One of the radio station people set up a table for the signing. They had the TNA Rock N Rave promo and TNA mats. They were real nice to the few people that were there. I got them to sign their TNA card and got a promo for my nephews. Then I got a photo with the group and I was good.
I and my friend wanted to try to get Jackie so we waited for a few minutes. We looked over and there where these two guys just unloading on Christy Hemme. The just had tons of stuff. She just signed all of them. After a while, when she finished signing their stuff we had to see what they got done. They got 50 signed 4x6 photos of Christy a few signed 8x10 of her and a bunch from Lance and Rave. Then they went up again to get a few TNA promos. This one guy was like “I am a huge fan of Christy. I have more than 100 signed photos of her.” The other guy got like 6 of there TNA promos and said “EBAY”. That drives me insane. EBAY!!! Guy’s like that one person is why some wrestlers won’t sign for the real fans. My buddy and me get 1 or 2 things signed and a photo and are happy. EBay is messing things up for the normal fan.
Then we saw Jackie again. She was just sitting off to the side. We asked of she would sign a few things and take a photo with us. She was like “no problem”. My buddy started to talk to her about her WCW stuff and WWF stuff. She seemed happy that we were fans. Anthony (my friend) went on to say “some of the new girls don’t understand what legends like you went through. Real wrestlers not models” (and point at Christy Hemme). She just laughed. What a sweet heart. She remembers later on at the Lowell show. When Beer Money was walking around the ring during their entrance she came us to us and said thanks for everything today.
It was too bad no one knew about the signing because Lance, Rave, Christy, and of course Jackie were all great to meet.
