Things
are getting intense as we head to EVOLVE 68 this Saturday in Deer Park, NY and
EVOLVE 69 this Sunday in Queens, NY. As we say goodbye to Johnny Gargano, we say
hello to many new faces. It's do or die time for members of the EVOLVE roster to
step up and take Gargano's top spot, or move aside for the new faces. We have a
look at the new additions to the EVOLVE roster, must see videos and more. Let's
get to it....
September 6th: Make sure to watch this statement from Stokely Hathaway about his client TJ
Perkins' future in EVOLVE:
September 6th: EVOLVE Champion Timothy Thatcher is
currently on tour in Germany for WXW. EVOLVE officials have allowed WXW
officials to determine challengers for the EVOLVE Title. Thatcher has already
successfully defended the EVOLVE Title on September 2nd against Marius Al Ani in Hamburg, Germany. Thatcher will return
to EVOLVE during the October 15th & 16th weekend in Florida. If Thatcher
loses the title in Germany, the new Champion will debut in EVOLVE in
October.
September 6th: You can still buy tickets the DGUSA.tv Store for this Saturday
in Deer Park, NY and this Sunday in Queens, NY. We will refund the
shipping and hold tickets at the door.
September 6th: Pre-order EVOLVE 68 and EVOLVE 69 at WWNLive.com now to save $5 per iPPV.
September 6th: The talent recruiting division of WWN has
increased their efforts to bring new faces and returning favorites to EVOLVE in
light of Johnny Gargano and TJ Perkins finishing up this weekend before going to
compete in the WWE Raw Cruiserweight Division. We are proud to have these
athletes move from EVOLVE to WWE Monday Night Raw.
September 6th: We are beyond ecstatic to welcome back
the former DGUSA Open The Freedom Gate and Open The United Gate Champion
Ricochet. He's made infrequent appearances in the last couple of years after
building EVOLVE and DGUSA. We'll see him this Sunday against Zack Sabre Jr. and
then in November and December. Jigsaw was also an important part in the early
history of EVOLVE and DGUSA. He returns this Saturday to take on Fred Yehi. This
match is happening because Jigsaw pinned Yehi in a tag match at the last EVOLVE
weekend. Both need a win here to solidify their standing in EVOLVE. We will also
reveal now that negotiations are taking place for Jeff Cobb to make his EVOLVE
debut later this year. We have several hungry talents ready for their
opportunity this weekend. Here is a look:
Darby Allin: He will get his shot at an EVOLVE contract
this weekend. We encourage you to watch his promo to see
what's at stake for him. He's impressed in EVOLVE since earning a spot from his
performance in a WWN Seminar/Tryout, but now he needs to win.
David Starr: He has done something no one else has this
year and competed in TNA, ROH and now this Sunday EVOLVE. He is a hot talent
that impressed in a WWN Seminar/Tryout earlier this year. He'll get a great
opportunity against Ethan Page this Sunday at EVOLVE 69.
Chuck
O'Neil: "Cold Steel" has a 17-8 record in MMA and was on Ultimate Fighter Lesnar
vs Dos Santos. He has a growing reputation on the New England independent scene.
He'll be faced with tough competition in Tracy Williams at EVOLVE 69.
Travis
Gordon: The high-flyer was first noticed at a WWN Seminar/Tryout. We saw him
earlier this year in EVOLVE in a short match against Ethan Page. Gordon shows
enough potential to get another opportuniy. He'll wrestle Fred Yehi this Sunday
in Queens.
Dan
Barry: We've seen him several times in EVOLVE as part of Team Tremendous. Barry,
coming off the exposure of Holy Foley on The WWE Network, will try his hand in
singles competition against Ethan Page at EVOLVE 68 this Saturday.
Jason
Kincaid: This unique high-flyer stole the show at the last WWN Seminar/Tryout.
He will be given an opportunity this October in Florida.
September
6th: As you can see, one themes this weekend is established EVOLVE talent
against new faces. It is time for the established EVOLVE talent to get to the
next level, or they could be in danger of the new faces passing them by. The
competition is going to more intense than ever this weekend. Dreams are on the
line. Who will be the next to go from EVOLVE to WWE/NXT?
September 6th: As you can see, the WWN Seminar/Tryout is
becoming very fruitful for the WWN Family. Over 20 talents have been in matches
on WWN Family events including EVOLVE, SHINE and FIP. Referee DA Brewer earned a
fulltime job in EVOLVE. The next WWN Seminar/Tryout will be the most important
and biggest opportunity ever. NXT GM
William Regal will be a special guest. He
will watch the tryout matches, give advice and give a lecture on how to make it
to WWE. At the very best, you will get a shot. At the worst, you will receive
invaluable lessons to learn and grow. Go here for info.
September
6th: This Saturday's 1st ever WWN Creative Seminar is almost sold out. This will
be the only WWN Creative Seminar of 2016. WWN VP Of Talent Relations Gabe
Sapolsky will host. The Seminar will include a lecture by Sapolsky on booking
fundamentals, how to get hired by a promotion and talent relation principles.
Sapolsky will then rundown of the EVOLVE 68 card before the event to showcase
the booking expectations, how to assemble a roster and a card. The participants
will then watch EVOLVE 68 and sit down with Sapolsky after the event to assess
how the show went. There will also be guest lecturers and a Q&A session. Go here for all the info.
September

please like, comment or share. Help spread the word! We will be back tomorrow
with news on Joey Styles' role in EVOLVE this weekend, an EVOLVE 68 Quickie
Preview and another free video!
