DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR XIV RESULTS

The Death Before Dishonor Pay Per View is in the books, and it proved to be a historic event and a huge night for Bullet Club.

A thrilling Four Corner Survival Match got the show in Las Vegas off to a hot start, as Donovan Dijak emerged victorious over Lio Rush, Jay White and Kamaitachi. With the win, Dijak earned a shot at the ROH World Television Title.

Rush got on a roll and appeared to be on his way to victory, but Dijak -- who earlier in the match was dropped on his head outside the ring by a Rush hurricanrana -- nailed Rush with the Discus Boot and finished him off with Feast Your Eyes.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Katsuyori Shibata made his ROH debut by defeating a game Silas Young. Young came within an eyelash of pinning the NEVER Openweight Champion before Shibata beat “Pro Wrestling’s Last Real Man” with the PK.

After the match, Shibata and Young engaged in a unique display of mutual respect, as the two no-nonsense tough guys exchanged slaps to the face before shaking hands.

In a six-man match between the two most dominant factions in NJPW, the CHAOS contingent of Roppongi Vice (Beretta and Rocky Romero) and Toru Yano defeated Bullet Club’s Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) and Yujiro Takahashi, thanks to a low blow by Yano on Takahashi.

The Guerrillas of Destiny attacked Yano after the match. Bullet Club member “Hangman” Adam Page then came out and attempted to hang Yano with his noose, but Jay Briscoe made the save. The grudge match between Page and Briscoe began immediately thereafter.

In an ultra-violent, bloody brawl, Page scored the biggest victory of his career. It took a brutal Rite of Passage through a table outside the ring, nearly choking Briscoe into unconsciousness with his noose, and another Rite of Passage in the ring for Page to finally put the two-time former ROH World Champion away.

In a match-up of two of the most charismatic stars in the pro wrestling, IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada was pushed to the limit by Dalton Castle, but Okada prevailed in the non-title bout after hitting The Rainmaker.

ROH World Television Champion Bobby Fish successfully defended his title with a hard-fought victory over a determined Mark Briscoe. Fish hit Falcon Arrow for the win.

ROH World Tag Team Champions The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) defied the odds and found a way to retain their title in a Triple Threat Match over Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito and EVIL) and Michael Elgin and Hiroshi Tanahashi.

The resourceful Daniels subtly blind-tagged Tanahashi just before the Japanese star hit High Fly Flow onto EVIL. Daniels then swooped in and pinned EVIL while Tanahashi was still on top of him.

In the incredibly intense, hard-hitting main event, Bullet Club’s Adam Cole defeated Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship, ending Lethal’s 427-day reign.

Cole, who last held the world title more than two years ago, became just the third man in ROH history to regain the championship.

The story of the match was that usually cerebral Lethal let his desire for revenge get the best of him, and Cole took advantage.

Cole did not have long to bask in his moment of glory, however, as arch rival Kyle O’Reilly snuck up behind the new champion and dropped him with a brain buster.
