Ring of Honor issued the following :
The Aftershock tour rolled into Baltimore Friday night, headlined by a huge six-man tag war pitting The Bullet Club’s Adam Cole, Nick Jackson and Hangman Page against Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal, Colt Cabana and Jay Briscoe.
Former ROH World Tag Team Champions War Machine kicked off the show by scoring a dominant victory over Leon St. Giovanni and Shaheem Ali.
In the much-anticipated first-ever meeting between two of the most highly acclaimed rising young stars in the sport, New Japan Pro Wrestling Young Lion Jay White defeated 2016 Top Prospect Tournament winner Lio Rush in a thrilling, back-and-forth encounter that is must-see viewing for any true wrestling
fan.
The Cabinet -- composed of ANX’s Rhett Titus and Kenny King and their Minister of Information Caprice Coleman, continued its crusade to make wrestling great again by defeating fan favorites Cheeseburger and Will Ferrara.
ROH World Television Champion Bobby Fish overcame a strong effort by Kamaitachi, as well as the presence of ROH World Tag Team Champion Christopher Daniels in Kamaitachi’s corner, to win the non-title bout.
Joey Daddiego thwarted Chase Brown’s upset bid, serving up the familiar taste of defeat to the cauliflower-loving Brown.
In a star-studded and fast-paced Four Corner Survival Match, Mark Briscoe emerged victorious over ROH World Tag Team Champion Frankie Kazarian, Donovan Dijak and The Motor City Machine Guns’ Chris Sabin.
Briscoe hit the Cut-Throat Driver on Kazarian for the win. Sabin suffered a nasty cut near his left eye during the match.
With his associate Kamaitachi and his Addiction tag team partner Kazarian having both lost, Daniels came to the ring and said that he was filing a formal protest to get both decisions overturned.
Daniels is unlikely to have any luck with that, but the cunning veteran did manage to score a pinfall victory over Moose. After the match, Daniels, Kazarian and Kamaitachi triple-teamed the popular former NFL star.
White and The Motor City Machine Guns’ Alex Shelley, who both have had run-ins with The Addiction and Kamaitachi recently, came out to save Moose and run off the trio.
The feud between ACH and “Pro Wrestling’s Last Real Man” Silas Young escalated in a brutal Last Man Standing Match. The wild brawl frequently took place outside the ring as the two competitors used tables and chairs to try to destroy one another.
After a superplex off the top rope sent both men crashing through a table, it was Young who barely beat the 10-count to win the match and avenge his loss to ACH at the Best in the World pay-per-view two weeks ago.
In the main event, the ROH all-star team of Lethal (sporting a shaved head thanks to an incident with The Bullet Club at the recent national TV taping), Cabana and Jay Briscoe gained a measure of revenge over their nemeses Cole, Page and Nick Jackson of The Bullet Club, as Cabana pinned Jackson for the win.
Cabana and Lethal, who will face each other for Lethal’s ROH World Title at Aftershock in Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena on July 16th, managed to coexist in the match, but they exchanged words and engaged in a stare-down afterwards.
On a lighthearted note, a big ROH fan decided the ring in Baltimore was the perfect setting to present his fiancee with a ring of a different sort.
Logan Woodzell popped the question to Billie Elder, and despite the crowd encouraging her to say no, she said yes.
The couple from Charlottesville, Va.plans to get married in Las Vegas. The bride-to-be said her dream is to have her favorite wrestler, Dalton Castle, give her away.
