MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -The first court appearance for Jerry "The King" Lawler and his fiancée, Lauryn McBride, was quick. Both had attorneys and the judge ordered them to stay away from each other.
With a line of fans crowding the door to the courtroom, Lawler made his way inside for his first appearance in a domestic violence hearing.

Lawler maintains McBride was drunk, scratched his face, and kicked him in the groin.
McBride said he hit her, pushed her against a stove, and put an unloaded gun on the kitchen counter and told her to "go ahead and kill yourself."
Monday, the judge ordered no communication between the couple while the case is pending.
"Both of them should have bail conditions that include having no contact with each other," McBride's attorney Mark Mesler said. "They may seem unusual but those are standard bail conditions in a domestic violence case."
