Just wanted to quickly share this:Carlito appeared at an indy wrestling event in Hamilton, ON today. I found
out that he was going to be signing before the show, so I made sure to be there
by the time the doors opened at 3:30.
When I walked into the venue, I was surprised to see that Carlito had a
table set up and was signing autographs INSIDE the ring. There was a lineup at
the ring-steps, where one-by-one, fans entered the ring to meet him. I thought
this was cool, and it would be my first time inside a ring.
The staff at this show were very accommodating. First, the ring announcer
was helping fans get in and out of the ring, if needed. The ring announcer also
told me “take your time” before I entered the ring, meaning that there was no
rush to get my autographs. The handler was also taking pictures for fans.
The prices for Carlito were as follows: $10 autograph and $20 photo-op. I
actually really like Carlito, so I didn’t mind paying that, but I was just
surprised at the prices. I paid for two autographs and a photo. Before he
signed, the handler offered to quickly take the photo for me, which she did.
Then, Carlito signed my encyclopedia (which now has 100 autographs!), and a
figure (in purple). I told him that it was nice to meet him, and he thanked me
for coming. He also shook my hand, and that was it. Overall, Carlito was quiet,
but still nice.
