2ND GENERATION’S ELLERING FORGING HER PATH IN WRESTLING

It's something Rachael Ellering has wanted to do since she was 16 years old.

Now, at 22, the time finally seemed right.

That's why the Melrose High School graduate — who got a degree in communications from St. Catherine University in St. Paul in May — didn't think twice about heading north to Canada to take a shot at her dream.

"When I get involved in something, there's no halfway," Ellering said. "I put everything I have into it."

What Ellering is throwing herself into now is professional wrestling, with its colorful mix of athleticism and showmanship. She comes with experience as a three-sport high school athlete and an internationally successful powerlifter.

Pro wrestling a business to which she has a family connection. But her desire to forge her own path in the industry is what led her to Calgary, where last September she enrolled at the Storm Wrestling Academy. It's run by former Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainent star Lance Storm.
