It's almost time for the return of EVOLVE to New York! We look at
what's at stake for everyone on the events this Saturday in Queens and this Sunday in Deer Park, the latest on
Johnny Gargano after being at NXT last night and more. Let's get to it....
August 14th: You can pre-order this Saturday's EVOLVE 47 and this
Sunday's EVOLVE 48 live iPPVs
now at WWNLive.com. Watch
on the WWN Roku Channel. Remember, you must order by midnight est. tonight to
save $5 on EVOLVE 47.
August 14th: You can still order tickets for both events in the DGUSA.tv Store or by calling
267-638-6583. We will refund the shipping and hold the tickets at will call for
you. There are only a handful of reserved tickets left for the entire weekend.
We highly recommend ordering those now if you are interested before you get shut
out. You will get a merch credit you can use on the new EVOLVE Blu-rays and the new PWG Threemendous III DVD.
August 14th: Congrats to Johnny Gargano
on his return to NXT last night. The upcoming weeks of NXT on Wednesday nights
on the WWE Network should be very interesting. Gargano is still with WWN and he
will return home to EVOLVE this weekend. We are very proud when we look at the
NXT tapings and WWE TV every week and see many names from WWN including Gargano,
Apollo Crews, Solomon Crowe, Neville, Kalisto, Luke Harper and Dean Ambrose
among others. You can jump on the bandwagon now and support the new generation
with EVOLVE this week. Today's new stars are on the events this weekend. Here's
what everyone has at stake at EVOLVE 47 and EVOLVE 48:
-EVOLVE & DGUSA Champion
Timothy Thatcher: He enters his first weekend as double champion, and it
could end quickly as Thatcher is faced with Zack Sabre Jr. on Saturday on live
iPPV at WWNLive.com. This is a rematch of their match of the year at EVOLVE 34,
which Sabre Jr. won. Thatcher has a different kind of challenge on Sunday when
he faces longtime rival Biff Busick for the last time. It'll be a No Holds
Barred Match and the first time Thatcher and Busick are in the ring together
since Busick injured Thatcher's ear, causing him to miss five weeks of action.
How will Thatcher do in his first weekend as the face of WWN?
-Johnny Gargano and Ethan Page: We mention them together
because it's all about their feud this weekend. First, they will collide in an
Anything Goes Match at EVOLVE 47. Then on Sunday in Long Island it'll be Page
vs. Gargano's friend and tag team partner, Rich Swann, and Gargano vs. Page's
mystery opponent. Page says he has learned everything from Gargano's past. He
has stated he wants to destroy the former 2-time DGUSA Champion physically,
mentally and emotionally. He seems to have everything lined up to do that. Can
Gargano survive the weekend?
-Rich Swann: Last time in Queens, NY, he teamed with
Johnny Gargano to defeat Drew Gulak & Tracy Williams. Now Gulak wants to
avenge the loss, but this time it'll be a singles match at EVOLVE 47. On Sunday,
Swann will get rematch of EVOLVE 41 vs. Ethan Page. Can Swann help Gargano shut
up Page on live iPPV?
-Zack Sabre Jr:: He is riding a wave of momentum after
defeating Roderick Strong at EVOLVE 45 in a top match of the year candidate and
TJ Perkins at EVOLVE 46 in a classic technical battle. Sabre Jr. has a chance to
become the face of WWN on Saturday. Throughout the last EVOLVE weekend, he and
Chris Hero exchanged words. On Sunday, these two elite athletes will collide.
Can Sabre Jr. take the top spot in WWN?
-Chris Hero: He is arguably having the best year of his
accomplished career. He has become the standard of independent wrestling. This
weekend it's Hero vs. red hot newcomer Mike Bailey in Queens and vs. Zack Sabre
Jr. in Long Island. Hero is looking to rebound after losing an EVOLVE Title
Match to Thatcher. Will his incredible year get back on track on live
iPPV?
-Biff Busick: He's in for two tough, hard-fought contests
this weekend. Tracy Williams is looking to establish himself at the expense of
Busick on Saturday. Then we already know about Sunday. It's Busick vs. Thatcher
in a No Holds Barred Match. Who will win this rivalry?
Anthony Nese & Caleb Konley with So Cal Val: The Premier
Athlete Brand comes to New York with open contracts. All we know is that it's
Caleb Konley vs. ousted PAB member Trent Baretta this Sunday in Long Island.
There is also a lingering issue with Rey Horus. Who will step up and challenge
The Premier Athlete Brand?
-Trent Baretta: We were as surprised as you when So Cal Val
announced earlier this week that Baretta was terminated from The Premier Athlete
Brand. We were even more surprised when Caleb Konley made it clear he never
liked Baretta. It'll be Trent vs. Rey Horus in a first time ever match at EVOLVE
47 and then the contest vs. Konley at EVOLVE 48.
-Drew Gulak & Tracy Williams: These tag team partners
took a hiatus after a disappointing weekend in May. They claim to have found the
"catch point." We will find out what they mean when it's Gulak vs. Rich Swann
and Williams vs. Busick in Queens. Then in Deer Park it'll be tag team action
with Gulak & Williams vs. Mike Bailey & Rey Horus. What is the catch
point?
-Rey Horus: The last luchador to make an impact in WWN was
Samuray Del Sol, now Kalisto in WWE. Horus is quickly making an equally big
impression. He returns to EVOLVE this weekend to wrestle Baretta this Saturday.
Then on Sunday it'll be the duo of newcomers, Horus & Bailey, vs. Gulak
& Williams. Will Horus continue to build momentum?
-Mike Bailey: He is back for his 2nd weekend in EVOLVE. This
martial arts expert is breaking out in 2015 with his one-of-a-kind style. His
limits are sure to be tested vs. Hero and then in the tag team match. Can Bailey
solidify his spot in WWN?
August 14th: Thank you for reading today's WWN Alerts. We can't wait
for the weekend! Join us either in person or on live iPPV at www.WWNLive.com as we
continue to build momentum. Who is the next breakout star? Watch and follow his
career now. Thank you for making it all
possible! **************************************************************************
