Kansas City, MO—(March 16, 2015) In addition to painting live outside of Axxess in the three days leading up to WrestleMania 31, wrestling artist Rob Schamberger will also debut his first WWE art book at Axxess.
The Immortal Showcase features Schamberger’s individual paintings of the first 30 WrestleManias, as seen on WWE’s popular Canvas 2 Canvas YouTube series. The 40-page art book also includes an introduction written by WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, who writes this about Schamberger’s art:
“The Schamberger style is unmistakable and distinctive…much like WrestleMania itself. Rob’s style catches the enormity of any event and of those who are privileged enough to be a part of it. No one I’ve ever seen captures the emotion and the organic ‘feel’ of a WWE Superstar the way that Rob’s art does.”
The paintings included in The Immortal Showcase won’t be available anywhere else, making the book a must-have for anyone interested in making this iconic series a part of their collection. The Immortal Showcase will be on sale at this year’s Axxess and will soon follow on WWE Shop.
For Schamberger, the book represents the culmination of a longtime goal made even more important by the timing of the release.
"It's every artist's dream to have their own art book,” Schamberger says. “I'm incredibly excited that mine showcases my paintings celebrating the storied and colorful history of WrestleMania, and that the book will debut at Axxess. WrestleMania is the 'Showcase of Immortals', and it's my hope that The Immortal Showcase will illustrate each event in a whole new way!"
