This past Saturday (11/01/2014) I attended both the Rhode Island Comic Con as well as Mick Foley’s Comedy Show at RI Comedy Connection. As many may have heard Rhode Island Comic Con 2014 turned into a GIANT nightmare. I was lucky enough to get in when they opened and see some wrestling superstars. Unfortunately getting up close to them was near impossible due to the overcrowding. The one and only person I was able to get up and meet was Ex WWE/WCW superstar Virgil. Sad to say he was rather pushy with selling his product. I guess I can understand he was trying to make a quick buck and NO ONE was even approaching him, so I gave him a $20 out of pity and got a picture with him.

My wife and I then went out to grab something to eat and when we returned people were getting turned away left and right.

Fast forward to later in the night and we were at Mick Foley’s comedy show. While waiting for him to come to the stage Scotty Too Hotty comes in and basically sits next to us (We had seats at the front of the stage which was unbelievable) A short time later I ran outside and when I came back in I was standing next to Rob Van Dam and Torrie Wilson whom where both at Comic Con. At the end of the night Mrs. Foley’s baby boy invited Scotty, Torrie, and RVD to the stage for a Q&A. Scotty was the only one that came to stage.  He was pretty darn funny himself and very approachable.

Lucky the Mick Foley event was as amazing as it was because after my wife and I’s day with RI Comic Con Craptacular we really needed to end our well deserved date night  on a high note and thanks to Foley not leaving until he signed EVERYTHING that people brought and taking time to speak with everyone directly we were very happy.
