WWE announced that Daniel Bryan successfully underwent neck surgery earlier today in Pittsburgh to repair a lingering nerve issue. Bryan underwent a procedure known as a cervical foraminotomy to decompress the nerve root.

The surgery was performed by world-renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Maroon.

There is no set timetable for Bryan's return. Usual recovery time is 2-3 months, so Summerslam is a possibility.
