Pro Wrestling Syndicate presents: "Belleville Bedlam" Saturday, March 22, 2014 Live Report
Pro Wrestling Syndicate followed their sold out Edison, New Jersey show with another packed house of 800 paid fans at Belleville High School. The PWS fans were loud and into each of the matches throughout the night. There was something for everyone in the show as both adults and families were pleased and chanting “this is awesome” and “we want this”. This was definitely one of the more entertaining independent shows and the Pat Buck’s PWS students made up for the lack of legends and top tier star studded talent that PWS shows are usually accustomed to.
Opening Match: "Boricua Beast" Dan Maff defeated “Notorious” Devon Moore via pinfall: Great opening match that saw Reality Check’s Devon Moore try to beat Dan Maff by using his speed and high flying maneuvers to overwhelm his opponent. Eventually Maff capitalized on Devon Moore’s missed Shooting Star Press and pinned him after hitting his Inverted Death Valley Driver.
PWS TAG TEAM TITLE 3 WAY MATCH The Lone Rangers defeated the Suburban Outfitters and Anthony Bowens/AC Gamble via pinfall: Great back and forth match that had several suicide dives outside the ring.
Chris Payne defeated Trent Barretta vis pinfall: Chris Payne has slowly become a crowd favorite and one of the top PWS up and coming talents. His win came as a big upset to fans who expected Barretta to walk away the victor.
Mario Bokara defeated Eddie Kingston by submission: Eddie Kingston was flown in from Chicago as a late replacement for the Amazing Red. The match did not disappoint as both men had a very technical match that resulted in Bokara targeting Kingston’s arm early in the match and eventually making him tap via submission.
SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH Fallah & the Heavenly Bodies with GMC defeated Craven Varro & Team 24-7 via pinfall: The Heavenly Bodies won by singling out the a member of Team 24-7 and getting the win much to the dismay of Craven Varro who was stopped by Fallah as the tried to stop the referee from giving the 3 count.
DOG COLLAR MATCH - IF MATTHEWS LOSES HE RETIRES Kevin Matthews defeated Arkim via pinfall: After several months of random attacks from Arkim, Reality Check member Kevin Matthews was able to score a victory and maintain his career in the wrestling business. The match was brutal to watch and the crowd cringed at times when the chains from the dog collar was used as a weapon. Matthews scored the victory by powerbombing Arkim through a wooden board.
OLD SCHOOL VERSUS NEW SCHOOL Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Dave D-Struction via pinfall: The crowd was really into the match as Duggan did his regular routine in getting the crowd to chant. Duggan scored the win by hitting the Three-Point Stance Clothesline.
Vicious Vinny defeated the "The Prince of Aesthetics" Damian Gibbs via pinfall: Vicious Vinny is definitely beloved by the PWS fans as the crowd of 800 applauded his every move. He ended the match by finishing his opponent with the Michinoku Driver.
SUICIDAL SIX WAY TITLE MATCH Matt Macintosh defeated Starman, Bobby Wayward, Craig Steele, Shynron the Spirit Dragon, and The Drunken Swashbuckler via pinfall. As is the case with every six way match, the action always spills out of the ring. This was a very entertaining match to watch as each man sacrificed their bodies but Macintosh chose the opportune time after an interference by Daff Maff to score the victory and win the title.
Kyle Reynolds won the BELLEVILLE BEDLAM BATTLE ROYAL 20: This was a very quick match with bodies being thrown over the rope in quick fashion
LADDER MATCH FOR PWS CHAMPIONSHIP Bonesaw defeated "Yours Truly" Alex Reynolds to retain the Pro Wrestling Syndicate Championship. Both men are definitely walking home sore after this match. The ladder was used throughout the match as a weapon and it was pretty evident by the pain in both men’s eyes that the ladder hurt with each blow. Eventually, Kyle Reynold’s ran into the ring and attempted to assist his brother Alex with the win but Bonesaw quickly threw Kyle into the ladder, knocked over Alex and grabbed the title from the top of the arena.
After the match there was a confrontation between former champion Kevin Matthews and Bonesaw where Matthews decided to challenge Bonesaw for the PWS title. Bonesaw accepted the challenge and they agreed to fight on the April 26th show in Rahway, New Jersey.
