It was another great night for Resistance Pro Wrestling, as they held their second show, called Rise. Johngy's Beat was out in full force to cover the event. There was a good crowd, especially considering the weather. We hunkered down in our usual seats and enjoyed a card of exciting matches, headlined by the triple threat for the RPW Heavyweight title.

Harry Smith, was victorious over Kevin Steen and the Sheik, in becoming the first RPW champ. Steen and Smith were very over with the crowd and the Sheik got good heal heat. Melanie Cruise retained her women's championship. Colt Cabana was also cheered wildly by the crowd. The women (Cruise, Serenity, Sassy Steph and Cheerleader Melissa) all worked very hard and were very entertaining.

The RPW staff and wrestlers could not have been more fan-friendly. The entire evening went smoothly, especially the meet-and-greet aftershow. The wrestling talent posed and sold their merchandise at very reasonable prices.

This is such a great promotion. There is such a positive buzz. Billy Corgan and Gabriel Baron have put together something special.
