My friend and I went to Indianapolis for the Days of the Dead convention. It is the first year for the Days of the Dead con and they did a great job. The prices were fair, it was very well organized and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Adolfo and his staff should be applauded.

Roddy Piper wasn't there at the start of the show on Friday, but we all waited patiently in a line an he showed up about 20 minutes later. We all had a good time talking about wrestling while we waited in line.

The line moved slowly, but only because Roddy took time with everyone. Nobody complained about it, because we all knew we would have time with him during our turn. Roddy had a large assortment of 8x10's and gladly signed things however you wanted.

When I reached Roddy, I reminded him of the interview I did with im years ago, when he appeared in a literacy ad series I ran at the newspaper where I previously worked. Roddy recalled it and gave me a big hug and we caught up on things. He mentioned that he was working on another book.

His son Colt (and MMA fighter) was assisting at his table. We talked for a bit, but I didn't want to bother him much. The next day, however, Colt was there earlier than Roddy, so I got a picture with him, too. Colt is preparing for his next fight in about 4 months.

Also, on Friday night, Roddy appeared at the hotel club doing comedy. Truthfully, it was more of him telling wrestling stories, with his usual humorous flair. Either way, it was well received by the packed house.

The rest of the celebrity guests were also very fan friendly! All together, a great time at the Days of the Dead convention.
