- Announced earlier today (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/the-bond-of-brotherhood/), The American Wolves will reunite in Richmond & Charlotte for tag team action! Fresh off their epic battle over the ROH World Title, New ROH World Champion Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards will battle with the House of Truth’s Roderick Strong & Michael Elgin on July 8th and Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly on July 9th! The Wolves are looking to reestablish their brotherly bond and the ROH faithful in VA & NC are in for a treat with these two first time ever tag team matches!

- Charlotte will also hold a pair of grudge matches that will have an interesting rule enforced (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/handcuffed/). Jay Briscoe vs. Rhett Titus and Kenny King vs. Mark Briscoe and to insure that neither man’s partner gets involved in the bout, their respective partners will be handcuffed to the ring post! Both teams have battled it out all across the country, and time after time Jay & Mark Briscoe have squeaked out fluke victories. Finally, at “Best in the World 2011”, the All Night Express pinned The Briscoes fair-and-square during the Elimination Tag Title Match and ended their hopes of becoming 7-Time Champions that night. Unfortunately the Kings of Wrestling ended the ANX’s hopes of claiming their first Tag Titles shortly thereafter when Chris Hero struck Rhett Titus with his loaded elbow pad. But that night’s story didn’t end there. After Haas & Benjamin retained the belts over the KoW, Jay & Mark returned to the ring with chairs in hand and laid out the champions. As the assault continued, Titus & Kenny King returned to the ring to assist WGTT and remove the Briscoes from the ring. This is a war in which the hostilities will not cease. These two bouts will be back-to-back so as soon as the first ends, the individuals handcuffed will switch places with their partner and the second match will begin: Mark will be restrained when Jay wrestles, Rhett when Kenny fights, and vice versa. Each man being handcuffed at ringside allows for a timely transition as well as partner support.

- Richmond, VA is in store for a big ROH World Tag Team Title match on July 8th when Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin continue to prove that they are fighting champions and defend their belts against ROH World TV Champion El Generico & Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/tag-title-bout-set-for-richmond/)! Haas and Benjamin will be coming into this bout with an added aggression from the post match attack they received from the Briscoe’s last Sunday in NYC. Haas and Benjamin are angry, which adds a frightening element to their world class style, but Generico and Cabana offer a challenge to WGTT unlike any they have faced during their time in ROH. - “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett was extremely upset over this loss to Jay Lethal last Sunday at “Best In The World 2011.” Bennett has lost only a handful of matches in ROH and this blemish on his record will hurt his chances of future championship opportunities. “The Prodigy” vows to redeem himself in Richmond, VA and Charlotte, NC.

- Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander are very fortunate at the chance to compete as a tag team and the opportunity to be in the ROH Contenders Tag Lottery on July 8th in Richmond, VA. “We are blessed to receive this chance,” stated Coleman. “We will not disappoint and promise to take Cole & O’Reilly to the limit and we are confident that we can climb the mountain and attain the prized chance at gold. We will prove ourselves in Richmond.” Regardless of the outcome, ROH officials can now confirm that Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander will also compete in Charlotte, NC the next day on July 9th.

- We can expect Chris Hero in singles matches on both July 8th & 9th. The other half of the Kings of Wrestling, Claudio Castagnoli, will not be around those days as we received word earlier this week from Shane Hagadorn that Claudio will be meeting with “important people” that Hagadorn set him up with, “Claudio Castagnoli has much more important business to attend to next weekend than deal with the…filth…from down south.” said Shane, “I’ve placed Claudio in contact with the right people and suffice it to say, the future is very bright for this king.”

- Truth Martini is in strong negotiations with ROH officials for his new House of Truth recruit in Charlotte, NC to receive a spot. “This is a young man who has passed all of the tests so far,” explained Martini, “I feel he is ready for his next step and that is proving his self worth in front of a live audience in an ROH ring. If ROH officials comply, it will be do or die for this young gentleman.”
