Ive been to alot of signings but this is my first at a wal mart. I got to say that wal mart really needs to get there act together when promoting and holding such events as this. Comunication from the get go was very bad. Up to the day that the DVD thats What I Am went on sale there were no promotion on the signing in the store at all. Not many people were told correct information when calling wal mart eaither. Information i was told was wrong and I got the correct information from a firend on my facebook page. Any how I got my DVD monday morning to ensure i would get to meet him. The line was not supposed to start until 4 pm wensday but like i have said before ive done this before and showed up at 2:30. There were about 20 people at that time floating around wal mart waiting. Finally at 3 pm they decided to start lining people up. I ended up at about 30 in line. DVDS for the event were sold out about an hour before the event. Which angered alot of people that had no notice of when the DVD went on sale. At 6 pm when the signing was supposed to start there was another line starting for the ones that did not bye a DVD hoping to meet randy orton. Also at last minute they changed it from only the DVD getting signed to any one item getting signed which i pretty much new they would which is why i took my wwe belt.This also made others mad because alot of people only brought the dvd because they were told no memorabilia will be signed. Randy was about 25 minutes late which angered more people but hay what can you do. Randy himself was awsome. He was in a great mood. He made conversation to the best he could and we even got a posed photo. They also said no posed photos. From what i was told he ended up staying tell 9:30 to ensure that all that bought a DVD got to meet him. After the event the rest of the people tried hounding Orton for phots tell security told them to leave. Overall i give Randy an A+ for his appreciation to the fans but i give an F to wal mart holding a signing. Igot one better then pictures for i actually made a video of my experience which i hope you can post. Thank You |
