NWA-EAST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION RYAN MITCHELL DEFENDS AGAINST BURGH BRAWL 15 WINNER STRYDER!!

Burgh Brawl 15 saw two huge moments as Ryan Mitchell was able to end the 7 month title reign of Chris Taylor to become the new NWA-East Heavyweight Champion while Stryder was able to win Burgh Brawl 15 to earn a shot at Mitchell's title despit
...e being fired from the promotion. Now these two men will go to war for the ultimate prize in the NWA-East on Saturday, May 21st, belltime 7:30pm, at The Jacob Woll Pavillion(4112 Sycamore Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132).

Ryan Mitchell shocked the entire NWA-East months ago when he turned his back on his best friend and then heavyweight champion Chris Taylor and the NWA-East fans aligning himself with the biggest villains of the organization. Mitchell set his sights on winning the NWA-East Heavyweight Title and promised to do anything needed to get to the top of the mountain. Burgh Brawl 15 was the setting for epic meeting between Mitchell and Taylor for the title. Mitchell came in with a simple, yet effective gameplan of working over Taylor's shoulder so that he would be unable to use his finishing manuever, the Taylor Cutter. Mitchell executed this gameplan to perfection as when Taylor did go for his finisher, the damage that was done to his shoulder made it impossible for Taylor to hit the move. This gave Mitchell the split second opening he was looking for as he was able to nail his own finisher, The Steel Curtain, on Taylor to win the title. Much to everyone's surprise, Mitchell did not enlist the help of his new villain allies as he was able to win the title on his own.

Stryder was fired 2 months ago by NWA-East Championship Committee member Shawn Patrick for no good reason at all. During that time, Stryder promised, and delivered, to avenge his firing every chance he could against the men who were responsible. At Burgh Brawl 15, a masked 216 Clique member Dan Arkham(wearing a mask because Stryder attacked him at the previous event) entered the Burgh Brawl match with little fanfare. BY the end of the match, the mask came off and it was revealed to be Stryder!! Stryder would go on to dominate the remainder of the match and become the 15 th winner of the huge Burgh Brawl match and thus receive a NWA-East Heavyweight Title Match for Saturday, May 21st. Shawn Patrick attempted to void Stryder's win by proclaiming he was fired and thus not technically allowed to participate in the match. However, it was revealed that a new member of the Championship Committee was hired to work as a 50/50 say in matters with Mr. Patrick. That new member was NWA-East Grand Slam winner(winner of every title in the NWA-East) and former NWA North American Champion Quinn Magnum! Magnum's first act was to reinstate Stryder to full time duty and delcare him the winner of Burgh Brawl 15.

Now, Ryan Mitchell's first title defense will be against the most popular wrestler in the NWA-East, Stryder. Mitchell certainly has his work cut out for him in his first defense, but Mitchell has been at the top of his game for all of the 2011 and will have the full backing of his allies(Devin Devine, Paul Atlas, Shawn Patrick, JR Mega, and Ashton Amherst) which will make it extremely hard for Stryder to keep the match a one on one affair. However, Stryder will have the full backing of the NWA-East faithful and is a man on a mission to capture his first ever heavyweight championship. Will Mitchell begin his title reign with a huge win against top notch opponent? Or, will Stryder capitalize on his title shot won from Burgh Brawl 15 and make this a very short reign for Mr. Mitchell? Find out Saturday, May 21st!!

DASH BENNETT'S FINAL MATCH!!

Dash Bennett, one of the most decorated wrestlers in NWA-East history, will wrestle for the final time on Saturday, May 21st, belltime 7:30pm, at The Jacob Woll Pavillion in Renzi Park (4112 Sycamore Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132) against an opponent that he requested to face in the up and coming youngster T...
ravis Fame.

Dash entered the NWA-East a decade ago as a member of the tag-team Premiere Players with partner Daron Smythe. The duo would virtually rule the tag scene for the next two years winning the NWA-East Tag-Team Titles on three separate occasions.

Dash would then enter the singles ranks and quickly capture his first Three Rivers Title, but would then find himself embroiled in one feud after another that would see him drop out of single's title contention for quite some time.

Just when people truly were counting Dash out, he reemerged in a huge way as he would go on to win the Three Rivers Title three more times, the Brass Knuckles Title twice, and the Heavyweight Title this past summer, which, at the time, seemed as though he was just getting started in his quest for multiple Heavyweight Title reigns. Instead, 2011 saw Dash's health take a downward spiral as he would have to endure emergency surgery several times. As a result, Dash was faced with the toughest decision of his life, fight to come back to the wrestling ring or retire from the one thing he loved to the most.

Dash spent months struggling with the choice that lay in front of him, and ultimately, Dash decided it was time to walk away. At Burgh Brawl 15, Dash announced his decision and made an unusual request for his final opponent...Travis Fame.

Fame is an up and coming youngster, loved by the fans already while Dash was one of the most hated villains in the history of the promotion. Dash prided himself on being the man everyone loved to hate and with his longtime manager Stacy Hunter by his side, they took the NWA-East by storm for the past five years. But, in these past recent months, Dash stated that he had the chance to take the young Travis Fame under his wing behind the scenes and the two formed a quick bond.

Dash has said that he sees Fame as a future champion in the NWA-East and he would like his final match to be a passing of the torch from himself to Fame. Fame has humbly accepted Dash's request, but has let Dash know that he will bring his A game to the match. Dash, too, has said that he will pull out all the stops in this match as well as they may be friends before and after the bell rings, but in between, it is all business.

The NWA-East would like to thank Dash Bennett for all the years of service and we wish him nothing but the best for all of his future endeavors. Dash Bennett v Travis Fame on Saturday, May 21st in Dash's final match!!

NWA-EAST TAG-TEAM TITLES UP FOR GRABS ON SATURDAY, MAY 21ST

Current tag-team champions The Uprising find themselves in a tough spot as they will put up their titles on Saturday, May 21st, belltime 7:30pm at The Jacob Woll Pavillion(4112 Sycamore Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132) against the foremr champions Excellence Personified(Scottie...
Gash & Brandon K) and the brand new duo of Troy Lords and just recently former NWA-East Heavyweight Champion Chris Taylor.

The Uprising(Sean Reznikk & Payton Graham) have reigned as champions for the last couple of months after using the strategy of cashing in their tag-team title shot once the then-champions Excellence Personified had just successfully defended their titles against Golden Reign. The Uprising attacked K and Gash from behind and proceeded to break K's hand one thier way to a submission win via the contract they had cashed in. Since that time, The Uprising has taken full advantage of the new rules in place that state that a tag-team needs 5 points before they can receive a tag-team title shot.

The former champions Brandon K and Scottie Gash were able to gain a small measure of revenge at Burgh Brawl 15 when they defeated The Uprising in a non-title match to earn 3 points in the rankings system and thus give them the 5 points needed to gain a title shot this Saturday night. K has returned from wrist surgery, courtesy of The Uprising, and now looks to be 100% once again. Excellence Personified are now looking to regain the titles in a big way!!

However, there is a twist that has been thrown into this title match.... The new team of Chris Taylor and Troy Lords. Taylor and Lords each threw out a member of The Uprising in the Burgh Brawl 15 match thus giving them a title shot of their own in what is now a three way dance for the titles. Taylor and Lords are very successful singles wrestlers, but can they perform as a team from the get-go as there is little doubt that the other teams will be ready to go.

Will The Uprising retain their titles and put Excellence Personified and Taylor/Lords right back at the bottom again with 0 points, thus making them have to earn 5 more points to get another shot? Or, will Excellence Personified finally gain their revenge and get the titles back?....Or, will the new team of Taylor/Lords capitalize on their Burgh Brawl success and pull the upset?

Come find out on Saturday, May 21st at 7:30pm to find out!!! Check out NWAEast.com for the up to the minute info!!

FIRST TIME EVER IN NWA-EAST.... LOU MARCONI V ASHTON AMHERST

On Saturday, May 21st, 7:30pm belltime, at The Jacob Woll Pavillion(4112 Sycamore Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132) in Renzi Park two former heavyweight champion will meet for the first time as Ashton Amherst will square of against Lou Marconi.

Lou Marconi has been a lightenin...
g rod for controversy since returning to the NWA-East a year and a half ago. He has called out every NWA Champion in the world, shared his unedited thoughts about the people who run the NWA as a whole, formed an army that turned the entire NWA-East upside down in the 216 Clique, and finally turned on, and apparently dismantled that same group at Burgh Brawl 15. Lou took measures into his own hands when he caught wind that members of The 216 Clique were conspiring to oust him as leader of the group as he took a street sign to 20 year ally Frank Stalletto in their 8-man tag-team match and later attacked and chased away all members of the group with a ball bat.

Lou has had one agenda since his NWA-East return and that is the NWA Wolrd's Heavyweight Championship currently held by The Sheik. LOu has called out everyone from former champs Adam Pearce to Colt Cabana to current champ The Sheik to the NWA President himself Bob Trobich. His words have typically fallen on deaf ears as the NWA seems to not take Lou or the NWA-East as whole very seriously which is puzzling considering the NWA-East is one of the longest tenured and most consistent running members in the entire NWA worldwide. This has not deterred Lou as his 'loose cannon' mentality has created controversy, but also granted him oppurtunities over the years.

Now, Lou will have the chance to make serious statement rankings-wise in the NWA as he will take on 1/2 of the current NWA North American Tag-Team Champions in Ashton Amherst. Only 8 wrestlers in the world hold a nationally or world recognized title in the NWA and Lou has the chance to defeat one of them. It will not be an easy task, but Lou Marconi realizes what is at stake for him as he enters this matchup on Saturday.

Ashton Amherst has been 1/2 of the NWA North American Tag-Team Champions for one year this Sunday and is one month away from becoming the longest reigning champions in the history of the title. Having defeated every team that has their way, Amherst, and his Team Mega partner JR Mega, feel as though they are left with no competition so now Amherst is looking to make his mark in the singles rankings in the NWA-East once again!

Amherst knew that taking on and potentially defeating Lou Marconi could immediately vault him into the Eleven Elite and on the path to a third NWA-East Heavyweight Title reign, second Brass Knuckles ttle reign, or his first Three Rivers Title reign(which would make him a Grand Slam winner). First, he must not allow Lou Marconi to beat him and make a claim for Lou to get his shot at what he is seeking. Amherst is one of the true cornerstones of the NWA-East and now that he is back into the singles action, as well as the tag scene, things are going to get very intersting, very quickly.

SATURDAY, MAY 21ST NWA-EAST TAG-TEAM WARS HEAT UP!!

Dont miss the action on Saturday, May 21st, belltime 7:30pm, at The Jacob Woll Pavillion in Renzi Park (4112 Sycamore Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132), when the NWA-East returns with 'Unforgiven 5'!!

Two of the big matches announced for this event will feature tag-team madness as a six-...
man tag-team match between Shirley Doe and his proteges, Apollyon and Tony Johnson, squaring off against The Hansen Brothers and J-Ru. J-Ru has found himself embroiled in a war with Doe and his cohorts since his return to the NWA-East a couple months ago. he now has the backing of one of the top team in the promotion in The Hansen Brothers.

Will Shirley Doe be able to continue to seemingly control the though process of his men and take things to the next level of violence or will J-Ru finally be able to get one-up on Doe with the help of the brawling Hansen's?

Also, The Mon Valley Monsters are no more. Gator and Beast have taken their pride of living in Pittsburgh to heart and have now changed their name to The Yinzer Brothers. Coming out dressed in Black and Gold to the sound of Steeler fight songs, waving Pittsburgh related items, the duo have declared that they are Pittsburgh proud, iron tough, and bleed Black and Gold. The Yinzer Brothers are now set to raid the tag-team division yet again with their eye on regaining the NWA-East Tag-Team Titles. They have challenged anyone for May 21st and have stated that they hope someone from outside Pittsburgh takes them up on their challenge as they will use their combined 750+ lbs to squash any opponents like bugs!
