Last weekend, I was at the Motor City Comic Con, where I have met a bunch of wrestlers over the yars. This year, I met Mickie James, Greg Valentine and Torrie Wilson.Greg Valentine was a bit more talkative than usual. In fact, he made a joke about me resembling Jay Leno (somehow a lot of wrestlers seem to think so). I asked if he would put me in a headlock for a photo and he suggested a choke hold instead, so as not to cover my face. He was very cool.
My friend JayHawk Evans and I met Mickie James for the first time. We talked about Mickie's recent shoulder problems and her cd Strangers and Angels. Mickie had pretty long lines all weekend.
We joked with Torrie Wilson about remembering us from the 2000 Brian Pillman Memorial Show. We also talked about her closing her store near Houston and moving to Los Angeles. She has a line of fitness products, too.
Cookie and Robbie E. were also there, but we didn't go to them. Unfortunately for them, not many people did go to them.
The MCCC is always a great show. The prices are fair and you usually have a decent amount of time with each wrestler (or other celebrity).
