Upcoming Shows This Weekend

No shows this weekend. NWS will return to action on Saturday night April 30th in Brick, NJ (see below)

Results From Last Weekend

National Pro Wrestling Superstars kicked off the first of a three show weekend this past Friday night, April 8th with a crowd packing the Edison High School Gym.
  • The opening contest saw the current NWS tag champs Mike Dennis and Chris D'Andrea, the Jersey Shore Jocks, take on challengers "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie and Chris Steeler. This was not the first time the teams met as they battled earlier this year at an NWS show in Woodbridge and both Steeler and Smoothie thought they had the ideal plans to take the belts away from the boys from Seaside Heights, NJ. Unfortunately for them, the Jocks proved that they are fighting champions when they hit the Coast to Coast on both Smoothie and Steeler for the win.
  • The next match saw Judas Young, accompanied to the ring by Nicky Oceans, Rampage Rogers, Sal Sincere and Marti Bell take on The Jersey Kidd, who had a guest manager from Edison in Eddie Franken. When Franken and The Jersey Kidd saw the amount of people, Franken took matters into his own hand and brought out teachers from Edison Schools as his own back up. Commssioner Gino Moore told everyone to leave except for Franken and Oceans who had their managerial paperwork in order. Despite the sides being even, the evil duo of Young and Oceans managed to cheat their way to a victory.
  • The third bout saw veteran Corvis Fear take on two rookies from Edison, Jim Hughes and Leon Aditor. Fear defeated both with relative ease.
  • Match #4 saw the Undefeated Nigerian Nightmares (La-Fu and Ra-Fu) and WSU star Jana take on probably their toughest challenge to date, former WWE star Sal Sincere,  International star Danny Inferno, and another WSU star Marti Belle. The Nightmares were not used to such powerful men and the two teams battled back and forth for nearly ten minutes before Sal Sincere and Ra-Fu battled to the back and Jana and Marti battled outside the ring allowing La-Fu to pin Danny Inferno for the win.
  • Match #5 saw former NWS heavyweight champion "Corrupted" Corey Havoc take on rookie "Retro Rocker" Ricky Roxx. Havoc, was accompanied to the ring by Nicky Oceans, who was being heckled by an fan all night, even to the point of getting into his face before security pulled the fan away. Havoc told fans his attitude was about to go to the extremes and proved it even after the Retro Rocker had the early advantage by pinning the inexperienced Roxx for the win.
  • The 6th bout of the night saw Rampage Rogers take on former WWE star "America's Hero" The Patriot. Rogers claimed that he never agreed to put the title on the line against The Patriot, and the ring announcer called out NWS Head Official Kenny Edwards who after looking at the paperwork said Rogers was right. So Patriot asked for a no-holds-barred contest and after asking the fans and officials, the match was agreed upon by both parties. Rogers should have been glad that his title wasn't on the line, as after nearly 11 minutes of back and forth action, Patriot scored the win.
  • The main event saw former WWE star U-Gene (Nick Dinsmore) take on NWS Cruiserweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans. The fans were really against Oceans and the taunting may have led to his downfall, as after a Hogan Leg Drop, a Rock Bottom, and several other moves made famous by TV wrestling stars, U-Gene scored the win.
  • After the bout, Oceans, irate at how the fans were treating him, attacked a fan at ringside and security/referees pulled him off. Commissioner Gino Moore came out and told Oceans he was being fined for his behavior and forfeited his pay. Oceans, now even more irate went into a verbal attack against the Commissioner.  Gino Moore, saying he was a fair man, would offer him a chance to get his pay with a "Double or Nothing Match" in North Middletown on May 7th. Oceans said "Good, I get U-Gene again, and this time I will win". Commissioner said "Sorry, kid, you are getting another star in former WWE star Carlito and if you win, you get your pay, if you lose... oh well."
National Pro Wrestling Superstars continued their three-show weekend on Saturday night April 9th with their annual show at Atco, NJ's Assumption School. The crowd was not a sellout, but was definitely enthusiastic, and certainly got their money's worth of a night of exciting pro wrestling action.
  • As ring announcer Johnny Falco was about to introduce the first match, he was interrupted by the The Nigerian Nightmares (La-Fu & Ra-Fu) and their manager Princess Niya lumbering to the ringside area from backstage. The Nightmares were obviously hungry, and when a member of the Security staff tried to escort them to the back, he was beaten down, and only Niya's persuasion to return to the back where they would be fed kept them from doing worse.
  • In the opening contest, NWS Tag-Team Champions The Jersey Shore Jocks (Mike Dennis & Chris D'Andrea) retained their titles against the team of "Corrupted" Corey Havoc & "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie. This was a tough challenge for the Jocks against a veteran duo, as Havoc and Smoothie took the fight to the chmapions, but the champions prevailed when they reversed a twin crucifix slam attempt by the challengers into twin powerslams followed by twin "Coast-to-Coast" flying splashes to get the 1-2-3.
  • Before he could announce the second match, the ring announcer was interrupted once again as former WWE bad boy Savatore Sincere came out to the ring, accompanied by his entourage of NWS Heavyweight Champion Rampage Rogers, NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans, international star Danny Inferno, and WSU star Marti Belle. Sal began hurling insults at the Atco crowd in general, and NWS Commissioner Gino Moore and guest manager and Atco resident Rocky Falco. Danny Inferno took the microphone and promised that he would put his opponent, former WWE star Manu, through a door in their match tonight, and Nicky Oceans promised that he had a master plan to avenge the embarassing loss he suffered against former WWE star Eugene in their rematch tonight.
  • The second match of the night was a three-way dance for the NWS Cruiserweight title, and saw champion Spyral and challengers Jumping Joey Janela and "The White Urkel" B. Fehrm wrestle to a fifteen-minute time-limit draw. The fans were treated to a high-flying showdown inside and outside the ring. Janela and Fehrm initially pooled their skills to try and take out the champion, but as each tried to pin Spyral the other stopped it, and it soon became every man for himself. Towards the end, Fehrm reversed a double flapjack suplex attempt by Spyral and Janela into a double acid-drop of his own, then went to the top rope to finish off Janela, but Janela caught him in mid-air and planted him into the mat with a suplex. Spyral then hit a flying splash on Janela, but before the referee could count to three the bell rang, indicating the time limit had expired. The fans and Janela and Fehrm asked for five more minutes, but Spyral refused, and despite being called a chicken by the entire crowd, haughtily returned to the locker room still Cruiserweight Champion.
  • In a return non-title match from the previous night, NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans (with Danny Inferno in his corner) defeated former WWE star Eugene (with guest manager Atco's Rocky Falco in his corner). Oceans was bound and determined not to suffer a second defeat at Eugene's hands, and went toe-to-toe with the veteran WWE alum. Towards the end, Oceans had Eugene down, but Eugene rolled out of the way of a flying splash, and urged on by the crowd, began to "Eugene-Up". Eugene hit a big boot to the face, and after pointing his ear towards the cheering crowd, hit a Leg Drop but could not hold down Oceans. Eugene then hit a Pedigree on Oceans but still could not hold him down for three, and when Eugene went for a Rock Bottom, Oceans fought out of it and did his own tribute to famous finishers by hitting an RKO. Oceans then went to the top to try and finish off Eugene with a flying splash again, but again Eugene blocked it. Eugene then went to the opposite corner and warmed up for some Sweet Chin Music, but Danny Inferno jumped on the apron to distract Eugene, and Oceans took advantage and schoolboy'ed Eugene from behind, using a handful of tights and his feet on the ropes to hold down Eugene and get the 1-2-3.
  • Not content with stealing a victory, Oceans and Inferno continued the attack on Eugene, and were joined by their friends Sal Sincere, Rampage Rogers, Danny Inferno, and Marti Belle. Former WWE star Manu tried to come to Eugene's aid, but was overwhelmed as well. Then from out of the back came The Nigerian Nightmares and Princess Niya, and all seemed lost for Eugene as La-Fu & Ra-Fu appeared poised to make an evening meal out of him. But The Nightmares stunned the crowd by turning and attacking Sal Sincere and his entourage, driving them from the ring and saving Eugene to the delight of the crowd. Sal Sincere was furious and swore revenge, and Commissioner Moore was only too happy to give him the opportunity, as he announced that The Nightmares and Princess Niya would face Sal, Rampage Rogers, and Marti Belle in a six-person inter-gender tag-team match later that night.
  • In the first of two main event matches, former WWE star Manu (filling in for fellow WWE alum Snitsky who had suffered a death in the family) defeated Danny Inferno in a "Loser Gets Put Through A Door" Match. The two big men brawled all over the arena, using chairs and huge fists on each other. Inferno initially brought the door into the ring and tried to chokeslam Manu through it, but Manu blocked thet, but Inferno thwarted Manu's attempt to chokeslam him. Inferno then tried to weaken Manu by ramming his head into the turnbuckle, but apparently had forgotten that Manu was a member of wrestling's Samoan Family and had inherited the trademark hardest heads on the planet. An enraged Manu seized Inferno and hurled him across the ring and smashed him throgh the door, winning the match.
  • In the other main event match, a six-person inter-gender tag-team grudge match, The Nigerian Nightmares (La-Fu & Ra-Fu) & Princess Niya defeated former WWE bad boy Salvatore Sincere & NWS Heavyweight Champion Rampage Rogers & WSU star Marti Belle. Sal and Rogers were big men in their own right, but found themselves downright small next to the 900+ pounds of La-Fu and Ra-Fu as they were initially out-powered by them, and Princess Niya proved to be an even better wrestler than a handler as she held her own against Marti Belle, and even took out all three members of the opposing team on the outside with a leap from the top rope. Sal and Rampage were able to isolate and double-team the smaller La-Fu (if you can call 400 pounds small!) after he missed a moonsault from the top rope. But La-Fu prevailed, and was eventually able to simultaneously Samoan-Drop Rogers and Marti and tag in the 550-pound Ra-Fu, who cleaned house as only a 550-pounder can. Sal and Rogers and Marti were all whipped together into the center of the ring, and all three crushed together in a Nigerian Sandwich. La-Fu went up and this time delivered a hugely successful (at 400 pounds, emphasis on huge) moonault on Rogers, and got the 1-2-3. The Nightmares and Niya celebrated their victory with a Nigerian Conga Line dance around the ring with the fans as the show closed.
National Pro Wrestling Superstars concluded their three-show weekend down in New Castle, DE at the Nur Shrine Temple, as they teamed up with Delaware affiliate Funkdafied Wrestling Federation for "Funk-A-Mania VIII", and a large and enthusiastic crowd showed up and made for a very exciting show to close this big weekend.
  • Before the show, the crowd was entertained by local band "This Is True".
  • The show opened with a Ten-Man Over-The-Top-Rope Battle Royal, which was won by Ole Skool and also featured Trevor Justice, The Soul Assassin, Julio Jackson, "The Real Deal" Mike Goldstein, Tony Reyes, "The Glasgow Dragon" T.C. Cash, The Russian Commando, "Playboy" Vince Bono, and Chio. Goldstein slipped under the bottom rope early on and hid outside, letting everyone else get eliminated, then got back in the ring hoping to get the easy win. But after leveling Ole Skool with a legdrop, Goldstein charged at Ole Skool, but Skool ducked and Goldstein went flying over the top rope and was eliminated, giving Ole Skool the victory.
  • "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie defeated Jersey Shore Jocks member Mike Dennis. These two were no strangers to each other, having wrestled in tag-team matches in NWS, and waged a high-flying war all over the ring. At the end, Mike had J.D. hurt in the corner, but missed a running avalanche, and J.D. climbed to the top rope and hit a flying "Leg Drop Across The Delaware" on the stunned Mike for the 1-2-3.
  • In another battle of NWS veterans, "Atomic Dog" Ali defeated "Corrupted" Corey Havoc (with Mad Dog as his "manager"). Mad Dog claimed he was the only true "dog" in FWF, beat up the sound technician for playing the wrong music for Havoc, and attacked the ring announcer for questioning why he was there after having lost a "Loser Retires" Match at the last FWF show. The match finally began, and big man Corey found himself out-powered by an even bigger Atomic Dog. Mad Dog's interference and Corey's tricks kept Corey in the match for a while, but Corey then made the mistake of trying to ram Atomic Dog's exceptionally hard head into the turnbuckle and punch it, both only serving to make The Dog even madder, who responded with a series of head butts of his own. Mad Dog jumped up on the apron to distract Atomic Dog, but when Corey tried to take advantage of the distraction, Atomic Dog ducked out of the way and rammed Corey's and Mad Dog's heads into each other. Atomic Dog then planted Corey into the mat with a "Thump" powerslam and got the 1-2-3 pin.
  • In a three-on-two Handicap Tag-Team Match, The Nigerian Nightmares (La-Fu & "White-Mare" Baminga, with Marti Belle) defeated the trio of "The Glasgow Dragon" T.C. Cash & Trevor Justice & "The Real Deal" Mike Goldstein. Cash and his teammates interrupted The Nightmares' pre-match ritual and tried to attack Baminga three-on-one, but Baminga out-powered them, and both Nightmares befuddled their opponents' attempts to double- and triple-team them. Cash tagged in and tried to knock La-Fu down with a running clothesline; La-Fu caught him, but was tripped up by Goldstein and Justice. Cash thought he had knocked down La-Fu on his own, and arrogantly claimed that he could take The Nightmares by himself. Goldstain and Justice were infuriated by Cash's arrogance, and decided to leave the ring and let Cash wrestle the match himself. Cash instantly regretted his words, as he was chokeslammed by La-Fu and flattened by a Samoan Drop from Baminga, and then La-Fu crushed Cash with an impressive 400-pound Moonsault from the top rope and got the easy 1-2-3.
  • In a ladies bout, "The Definition Of Tehnician" Cindy Rogers defeated Marti Belle. Cindy's superior scientific skills initially dominated Marti, but when Marti's quickness began to take control, Cindy ducked out of the ring and showed off her musical skills by playing a drum solo on This Is True's drum set. Eventually Cindy was persuaded by the band members to return to the ring where she and Marti continued their battle of scientific skills vs. quickness until Cindy flattened Marti with a neckbreaker then locked her in a body scissors submission hold, forcing Marti to submit.
  • After the match, Cindy took the microphone and informed the crowd that she would be retiring from in-ring competition in June due to a nagging neck injury, and thanked FWF for the opportunity to wrestle, and gave props to Marti Belle for a good last match inFWF.
  • In an International Tag-Team Match, "The Wrestling Referee" Sargeant Jimmy Storm & Private Julio Jackson defeated the team of Chio Frost & The Russian Commando. Despite being outsized by Chio & The Commando, the American forces prevailed against the odds (like we always do). As Julio and Chio brawled outside the ring and all the way back to the locker room, Jimmy hit a Senton Bomb from the top rope onto The Commando and pinned him 1-2-3.
  • Before the next match, FWF Heavyweight Champion The Funky White Boy came out to the ring. He announced to the crowd that his scheduled opponent was a no-show, and was told instead that he would be facing returning FWF star White Lotus. When Funky questioned White Lotus' credentials, Lotus himself came to the ring and reminded the fans that he was the longest-reigning FWF Cruiserweight Champion, and was now back in FWF and ready to move up. Funky asserted that Lotus did not deserve to get a title shot in only his first match back, but challenged him to a non-title match, and if Lotus won he would get a title shot at the next FWF show. Lotus agreed.
  • In a triple-threat elimination match for the FWF Cruiserweight Title, newly-crowned champion "The White Urkel" B. Fehrm retained his title against challengers "Black Atlas" Cocky Johnson and "Playboy" Vince Bono. All three men battled all over the ring, with Vince's arrogance and the bad blood between Johnson and his former tag-team partner making it a tough challenge for the newchampion. Johnson was actually the first to be eliminated via a powerslam from Vince . After Fehrm kicked out of the same powerslam attempt from Vince, he battled back, leveled Vince with a superkick, then hit a flying splash from the top rope. But before the referee could count the pin, the bell rang indicating the time limit had expired. Fehrm screamed that he did not want his frst title defense ending like that, and asked for five more minutes, which the referee granted. Fehrm withstood Vince's renewed assault, and when Vince missed an avalanche in the corner, Fehrm planted him into the mat with his Algebra Drop, and pinned him 1-2-3.
  • In the final match of the evening, White Lotus defeated FWF Heavyweight Champion Funky White Boy in a non-title match to earn a shot at the FWF Heavyweight Title. The match was even back-and-forth, with Lotus apparently having no ring rust. Towards the end, Funky had Lotus up for a powerslam, but Lotus' swinging feet caught the referee and knocked him out temporarily. Lotus seized the opportunity and pulled out a foreign object from his tights and leveled Funky with it. The groggy refereee saw Funky down and counted the 1-2-3 for Lotus.Lotus asserted that he didn't want just an ordinary title match on the next FWF show , not even a Ladder Match, but a STEEL CAGE match, and FWF officials agreed to the match, sending the crowd hom happy and excited for the next show.

Other Upcoming Shows

Saturday night April 30th, NWS returns to the very popular (and frequently sold-out) Brick, NJ Elks Lodge (2491 Hooper Avenue, just off Route 70 & the Brick Plaza, minutes from the Parkway) with a 7:35pm bell time.
He’s a second-generation wrestler, a member of one of the best-known families in pro wrestling around the world. He’s been a former WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team Champion, and hosted his own in-ring talk show. He’s become famous for saying “I spit in the face of people who don’t want to be cool!” He’s the one and only WWE TV alum Carlito. And while NWS would never spit in the face of their beloved fans, we can say that it is definitely not cool to miss Carlito’s first ever appearance in Ocean County.
Brick will also play host to a number-one contender's match for the NWS Heavyweight Title, as former champion and Ocean County fan-favorite Ray-Ray Marz battles ROH star Judas Young for one last shot at regaining his belt. And in a rematch from last month's show in nearby Island Heights, local favorite and former police offier "The Bounty Hunter" Johnny Ringo will once again battle "The Canadian Hockey Goon" Rocco Dorsey, and this time it will be a Lumberjack Match, where the ring will be surrounded by wrestlers to keep the combatants in the ring.
Also in Brick will be Barnegat resident and former ECW brawler The Equalizer, NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Love Machine" Nicky Oceans, "Atomic Dog" Ali, international star Danny Inferno, and much more.
Tickets are only $21 for adults and $19 for kids and seniors.

Friday night May 6th, NWS returns to another popular venue in central Jersey, the Manville, NJ V.F.W. Hall (600 Washington Avenue, just off Main Street, minutes from Routes 28 and 287) with a 7:45pm bell time.
In addition to all the regional and local pro wrestling stars that thrill the NWS fans week after week, NWS has a history of bringing some of the biggest legends in pro wrestling to Manville, but that night will feature two of the biggest superstars ever to step foot in the squared circle.
First off will be an encore appearance by recent WWE TV superstar, a former Intercontinental and U.S. Champion, and a member of one of the most famous pro wrestling families in the world, it's the "cool"-talking apple-spitting legend himself, the one and only Carlito.
That right there would be worth the price of admission alone, but NWS is always looking to give the fans the best, and coming to Manville that night will be one of the greatest to ever step through the ropes. He was a gold-medal wrestler in the 1996 Olympics, he's literally held every championship in both WWE and TNA, and is acclaimed all around the world. Yes, it's true, it's true... it's none other than Kurt Angle himself.
And as an added bonus, a member another famous pro wrestling family, Smith Hart (the oldest brother of former WWE legends Bret Hart and the late Owen Hart), will be making a special guest appearance in Manville.
Tickets are only $20 for adults and $18 for kids and seniors.
Saturday night May 7th, NWS makes its annual appearance at North Middetown, NJ's St. Catherine's Church Gym (5 Shore Acres Avenue, just off Route 36 in the North Middletown section of Middletown, NJ), with a 7:35pm bell time.
And if you couldn't make it to Manville the night before (or even if you could, and just want to see them again), former WWE legends Carlito and Kurt Angle, as well as Hart family member Smith Hart, will treat the Bayshore area fans by making just one more appearance for NWS.
Tickets are only $20 for ringside seats and $18 for bleacher seats.

Tickets for all upcoming shows are available by calling the NWS box office at (732) 888-1704. All major charge cards are accepted, and group rates are available for groups of ten or more.
