Jim Cornette joined us back in January in an epic interview spreading his own unique brand of love, hate, and indifference all over the wrestling universe. We liked it so much, we decided to do it again!
Cornette stops by for a quick trip as he prepares for a busy weekend at the Legends Fan Fest in New Jersey where he will be roasted by some of the most notorious wrestling personalities in history including the Midnight Express, Missy Hyatt, Eugene, Al Snow, Bob Holly, and more.

Jim Cornette:
- Cornette joins us once again on TII. We quickly reminisce about the TNA Teleconference we did with him in 2006, but the conversation moves to him plugging the roast that he will be apart of as wrestling personalities like Al Snow, Hardcore Holly, Missy Hyatt, & the like will rip into him. He says that he is definitely ready for them & he’s got ammo for all of them himself.
- He will also be a part of the “Legends of the Ring” convention & promises to have various pieces of merchandise up for sale at his booth & praises the guys at Kayfabe Commentaries for the job they do with these events.
- Cornette is liking the direction of ROH & specially puts over talents like The Kings of Wrestling, The Briscoe Brothers, Roderick Strong, Tyler Black, Davey Richards, Christopher Daniels, Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjmain, & Homicide as adding a lot to the ROH product.
- For the next few minutes, Jim Cornette takes a question from Nick Noel. Nick discusses his concerns with ROH’s booking & Cornette addresses those issues. The conversation remains very civil though Cornette jokes that Nick is being a "gloomy Gus".
- Cornette is also getting back into OVW as well and talks about Rip Rogers & Nick Dinsmore’s roles in the company. He wants to rejuvenate the promotion & use it to showcase young talents.
- When asked for comments on the fallout of Bound for Glory, he wasn’t impressed, & isn’t excited about TNA basically repeated the formation of the nWo at Bash at the Beach 96. He jokingly adds “I wish them well in their future endeavors”
- And of course the interview goes into asking him about Bubba the Love Sponge & Cornette feels he never belonged in the business & is glad he’s gone.
- James talks to Cornette about Smokey Mountain Wrestling how much he enjoys watching that old product. James admits to really liking 92, but Cornette tells him that he enjoyed 93 the most and advises him to check it out. He also advises us to check out his website to buy tapes on his rookie year.
