Larry Sweeney joined IYH on September 9th. Sweeney kicked off the show by saying that he is moving to Chicago. Sweeney admits that the blog he had written on Myspace was a mistake and is moving to Chicago after a fourteen month hibernation from the business.

Jack asks about how Larry feels about the response of his recent promo for AAW. Sweeney says it feels great that people have commented positively on the promo. Sweeney doesn’t need any time before a promo to cut a successful promo.

Sweeney suggests that people check out the IWC.
www.iwcwrestling.com Sweeney doesn’t understand how people do not know about the company and puts the company over heavily.

Sweeney continues to talk about promos and says that he doesn’t need to pre-plan his promo and whatnot.

Jack brings up Chikara and Sweeney keeps up with the product to a point. Sweeney says that all of his best friends compete for Chikara. Sweeney does say that he doesn’t buy DVD’s or anything.

Sweeney talks about all the things he has accomplished in wrestling. He mentions that he has wrestled Jake Roberts and Greg Valentine among others. Sweeney notes that once again this is just a job. Sweeney would go back on the road for ROH but he doesn’t enjoy flying. His desire to go back to ROH on a scale of 12 is currently a 5. That could change if he were given a good spot on the roster.

Jack mentions Pinky Sanchez and Sweeney’s hate for the guy. Sweeney says that Sanchez is a douche bag.

OIB asks who was Sweeney’s favorite person to manage. Sweeney says that Greg Valentine was his favorite. Sweeney doesn’t believe that Valentine will retire and says that Valentine still has plenty to give.

Barbie brings up Sara Del Ray and asks if Sweeney is surprised at how popular she has gotten. Sweeney isn’t aware that Del Ray has “blown up” as she isn’t on WWE. Sweeney does have respect for her.

Sweeney doesn’t believe that everyone involved in the business aim to make it to the WWE. Sweeney says that if Vince McMahon brought Sweeney in to be the general manager he knows he would be great.

Sweeney talks about only being a manager in ROH for two years and how people obviously overlooked his wrestling ability. Sweeney wrestled for Chikara and IWC at the time but a lot more people watch ROH. Sweeney mentions that he got paid well for what he was doing in ROH. Sweeney says that he enjoys psychology while the current guys in ROH are the opposite. “No, I never wanted to wrestle in ROH”.

Jack brings up Claudio Castagnoli and Sweeney says that Claudio always liked to eat at Subway. Sweeney and the hosts proceed to have a discussion about subs from Subway.

Jack says that some fans are saying that Sweeney sounds bitter. Sweeney says that it comes along with the business because you get beaten up for little money. Sweeney admits to being bitter. Sweeney notes that he needs to find a career now that he is 29. Sweeney goes into some personal examples. He mentions that he had a great girlfriend but wrestler was more important.

On that note, that is the end of the interview as Claudio was scheduled to follow.

Zumhofe joined Jack, OIB and Barbie on September 16th. Zumhofe notes that he started a Rock N’ Roll wrestling company and after seven years they haven’t had a weekend off. Zumhofe goes over the daily events of the company. Zumhofe still loves the wrestling business. Zumhofe mentions he started a year earlier than Ric Flair. He also went to the same school that Flair went to.

Jack asks how difficult it was for Buck to train with Verne Gagne. Buck says that a person will become a wrestler as long as they “pay their money and not their dues”. Buck says that Gagne was focused on the talented wrestlers. Buck talks about having to do 500 of everything.

Buck plugs his website
www.rocknrollwrestling.com

Buck says that he is the first person in wrestling to have any kind of song. Buck talks about Bobby Heenan breaking his radio and how big of deal it was when Heenan broke his radio. The match that this happened is on Youtube. Buck discusses his matches with Steve Regal (not the WWF Regal) and Mike Graham.

Buck really goes over his history in the AWA. For all the AWA fans who would like to hear Buck reminisce about those days this would be a perfect interview!

When AWA went of business Vince McMahon wasn’t interested in signing guys like Buck. Buck had a few years of doing nothing wrestling related but got back into it and creates his current Rock n’ Roll wrestling company. Buck talks about having a few women involved, wrestlers and midgets! Buck makes it clear that he is NOT running against any other company and is only concerned about his company.

A caller asks about Larry Nelson. Buck says that Larry was a nice guy and would party with the wrestlers.

Buck tells a story of how he started to collect ties and how he has managed to get roughly 400 ties.

Buck says that when they did AWA television tapings he would put Jerry Lee Lewis music on his boom box to keep the boss happy. He continues to play the same music he used back then.

When asked if he liked wrestling for AWA or WCCW Buck says that he enjoyed wrestling in Oregon.

Jack brings up Buddy Rose. Buck was best friends with Buddy and is still upset about his passing.

Buck at first never thought that their would only be one major wrestling company. However, he then started to witness it with his own eyes.

Buck says that he use to make $320 per week back in the 1970’s and that was plenty of money. However, there are still people today that are only making $320 and that is before taxes.

Buck believes that Shawn Michaels will return to wrestling within a year. Buck talks about working with the Midnight Rockers and how he was seen as a goof before Shawn and Marty came around. Buck mentions that he has worked a few shows with Marty in the Minnesota area.

Buck says that wrestling changed drastically from the 1980s to the 1990s. Buck talks about the few areas wrestlers would go to get trained and how all the guys wrestled the same exact way. Buck says that if he wrestles anyone who is stupid in the ring he will beat them up.

The Undertaker is brought up and the fact that Buck was the first person put into a body bag. OIB asks if Buck ever thought the Undertaker would be a successful character. Buck says that Vince McMahon knows what is good for business.

Jack asks what it was like to wrestle Andre the Giant. Buck never wrestled Andre but was instead his tag team partner. Buck doesn’t think Andre really hated anyone.

Buck tells a story of how his daughter Heather got involved with his wrestling company. Buck puts over Heather as being one of the best women wrestlers in the business. He is not just saying that because she is his daughter.

Buck believes he was never a villain because the kids liked him too much. He also believes that he has the best character going today.

Jack asks about Curt Hennig rib stories. Buck says he got the worst rib story and he has never forgiven Hennig. Buck got a phone call from a girl who he was suppose to meet at a parking lot. Buck got all dressed up and went to the parking lot and their never was a girl. Buck also tells a story of getting peed on by another wrestler on the side of the road.

Buck discusses all the steel cages and “hardcore” matches that he had throughout his career with the likes of Bobby Heenan and Jimmy Garvin.

Jack asks if Vince McMahon was approachable. Buck says for him Vince was easy to talk to. Buck mentions that he told Vince, Pat Patterson and others dirty stories about Verne Gagne. He does believe that his size hurt him in the business.

Jack also asks about Eric Bischoff. Buck says that he had talked to Bischoff recently. Buck doesn’t know why TNA and WWE haven’t talked to his daughter. Buck knows that if Heather were to go to any other company his business would go right down the toilet.

Buck says his favorite tag team partner was the Crusher.

Jack asks about Jesse Ventura. Buck likes Ventura and says that Ventura is for himself. Buck wonders if Ventura was the Governor of Minnesota for the state or for himself.

Buck says his wrestling promotion is really just AWA but without the letters. Buck trains his wrestlers the same way he was trained. Buck runs down what you would see on his show. There are five matches on a show.

When asked about the cruiserweights Buck doesn’t really believe that there are any left in the business. Buck says that McMahon has changed the business to more of a big guy business.

When Greg Gagne is brought up Buck laughs for a few moments. Buck says that Greg has two personalities but says you can’t blame him for that. No one talks to Greg or his daughter until after the show and people have had a few drinks. Buck and Greg are good friends because they enjoy throwing dice.

Buck talks about Verne Gagne being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Buck again says that McMahon is in business for himself considering he hired Greg when Verne was inducted but proceeded to fire Greg after getting the AWA footage.

Jack brings up Mean Gene and asks whether or not Gene was fun to be on television with. Buck tells a story about partying big with Gene.

Jack asks about the Iron Sheik. Buck loves Sheik but says Sheik is crazy. Buck also says that you shouldn’t cross the Sheik. Buck says when he wrestled Sheik every night for two weeks he was extremely sore after the series of matches. Buck was very happy the day Sheik left the company for whatever reason.

Buck says the story that Verne offered money for someone to break Hogan’s leg to be “bullshit”.

Buck’s makes it clear that he will never quit the business. He will be involved with the business in some form after he is unable to perform in the ring. Buck says that promoters need to book his daughter.

Sara Del Rey joined Jack E. Jones, Oneinchbiceps and Barbie Richards for the September 23rd edition of In Your Head Wrestling Radio. Sara Del Ray says she is doing fantastic, Jack says she has a big schedule coming up including a match with Daffney on October 2nd in Marietta, Ohio for Remix Pro Wrestling.

www.remixprowrestling.com

She wrestled Daffney a few months ago and her Pro wrestling game has improved so much from her WCW days. She's looking forward to the match and thinks it'll be a good show all round.

Jack asks if she's seen NXT, She missed it because she was training. She says she saw the first weeks episode but has missed it since but says the first episode was tremendous. She heard CM Punk was commentary last night and bets it was superb. She notes Michael Cole has been great lately.

Barbie asks a question from a fan on the message board, asking what she feels about Daniel Bryan (aka Bryan Danielson) stealing her entrance music. He didn't steal it but Bryan trained her and there was a point where she worked in Japan and she was told to use Europe's "The Final Countdown", but around the same time he decided it was a great idea and started using it. So when she came back to the States everyone thought she ripped him off. Then when she couldn't use "The Final Countdown" at ROH, he said she should use "The Ride of the Valkyries" by Wagner but when they went to TV he wanted to use the music but couldn't because it was hers. She guesses he wanted it again so decided to use it in the WWE.

Jack asks what is it like being in the ring with a woman who's just into the looks side of wrestling. She kind of feels bad for them, because she would never want to go into a physical competition unprepared and unready against someone out her league. But it wont stop her from trying to do her best, she doesn't just them but just feels bad they are put into that situation.

Jack asks when she's going to get a match on one of ROH's iPPVs on GoFightLive. Hopefully soon as there are big things to come into the women's division for ROH.

Barbie asks a question from the message board about which is more deadly a kick from Sara Del Rey or an elbow from Chris Hero. She has no idea but maybe they should test it on a volunteer.

A caller asks if at any time she was asked to do a bump and refused to take it. She can't recall any bump because she trains so much that she's prepared for anything. She's rarely in a situation where she doesn't feel confident that she can take a bump. The same caller asks if she was trained by Antonio Inoki, She's never met him but she was trained by Jushin Liger, Kendo Kashin and they always brought in amazing people to train with.

Jack asks about the Ribera Steak House. Sara says its pretty cool from the outside there are tons of pictures of legends who have eaten there, and the food was great. She notes that Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli got their jackets last year sometime and they decided it would be great for an entrance.

Jack asks about her time with Larry Sweeney in Sweet N Sour Inc. Sweeney is a fantastic and phenomenal character also in life. She was excited when they approached her with the idea and working with him was great as she had so much fun just watching him operate.

Barbie asks another question from the message board, about why she was trying to kill Hamada on Shimmer Volume 28. Sara wasn't trying to kill her as the Japanese are built tough.

Jack asks a question from Facebook about her views on the current state of women's wrestling. She thinks women's wrestling is getting a lot of exposure which is good but a lot of it isn't actual athletics, and hopefully with more exposure, more athletic girls will be accepted. She says she thinks its great its so popular right now as it just opens a lot of opportunities to women. It isn't her favourite type of wrestling but any exposure is good.

Jack asks if she's proud of Gail Kim and Awesome Kong main eventing Impact in 2008. She was proud as it was a huge step for women's wrestling, Sara thought they did a great job, it just proves that everyone who said women can't draw were proven wrong. She doesn't know why TNA went in a different direction when it was proven they could draw. She said they set a standard and opened up a lot of doors and eyes for women's wreslting.

Jack asks if she's had any talks of going to TNA, Sara says they're not interested.

A caller asks what it was like to face Awesome Kong in May at a ROH house show. She says it was cool and any time she gets to wrestle Awesome Kong is good as you know how she's been trained and you can just go all out and don't have to worry about breaking her plastic parts or anything like that. She tops off her answer by saying any time she gets to wrestler he is a pleasure.

Jack asks her thoughts on Wrestlicious and did she ever think of a song for herself. She never thought of a song for herself but Sara is a fan of it and wishes someone would come up with a song for her. She thought the wrestling was decent and they seemed like they were having fun. The girls did a great job she adds.

One Inch Biceps asks what was up with the crazy eyebrows. Most people knew her from Shimmer as a babyface and to completely change her character around and trying to focus on anything but her looks. It would instantly set her apart and show people that she was angry, and it would make people look at her ability and not her looks. In a lot of ways the eyebrows did that, in the last year she's gotten away from doing it just because the characters evolved. She thought it was a good statement for her character at the time.

Jack asks if promoters before have told her she should act more girly. The first time she was trained the guy told her its not who you know, its who you blow, She thought that was horrible. She isn't super girly and doesn't want to be something she's not. But no one's really told her she has to be one way or another, though she notes TNA did tell her she needs more of what the Beautiful People have, she kind of took that in to be more feminine but she looked at it and says they already have a roster full of it.

A caller asks how she likes teaming with Daizee Haze as opposed to wrestling her. The difference is she has her as an ally instead of an opponent, before they met Sara says she had such respect for Daizee's in ring work and fearlessness, and now that she's on her side she just really enjoys working with her in Chikara as well as other indy promotions. She thinks Haze is amazing and that she's happy they are teaming together. She enjoyed their matches as opponents but it really suits them teaming together.

Jack asks what she thinks of Chikara, It's one of her favourite places to wrestle as its so fun and there is such a friendly environment. Its a fun product to get into and look back at. They are always bringing in top talent and its awesome to get to wrestle for them as its a well respected company and she's ecstatic to be apart of it.

Jack asks if there's anyone she wants to wrestle which she hasn't been able to yet. She says Aja Kong is her idol and wants to wrestle her. Jack asks if Aja Kong was someone she watched and said that's what I want to do. Sara says definitely when she first saw her she didn't know women could wrestle like that, as she'd only been exposed to the WWE. So the first time she saw Aja she thought it's definitely for her.

Barbie asks about the false starts of the ROH women's division and has she noticed the change in response from the ROH crowd. It's hard for to judge as she has a bad memory and she doesn't worry what they have to say.

Jack asks her thoughts on Mickie James, She'd love to see Mickie on ROH as she would love to wrestle her as she's amazing, she was sad to see her leave the WWE as she thinks she was one of the best parts of the WWE's women's division.

Barbie asks another question from the message board, about who she likes working Anarchy Championship Wrestling down in Texas. She likes working there as they have a lot of good female talent.

To wrap up the interview Jack asks a question from the message board about where she sees Shimmer from here, Sara says Shimmer's opened up a lot of eyes to women's wrestling so the sky's the limit for Shimmer. She hopes to see them one day on National Television.
