We are on the eve of the 16th Anniversary live event and the NWA-East Fan Club are the ones in the know with the latest up to the minute goings on within the promotion.

Several new items have come about in recent days, so let's get right into it....

Jon Burton Confirmed Off Of Anniversary Show:

 We first reported it to the fan club members in our lineup preview that Jon Burton may miss the 16th Anniversary event. Well, this news has now been confirmed as Jon Burton has been called to work in Tampa, Florida to report on the Steeler's game on Sunday.

Burton truly regrets not being to attend the show and attempt to win the Brass KNuckles Title for a second time, but, alas, his career has come calling and he must go.

The Emperor' Scott Venom, who is about to be inducted into the NWA-East Circle Of Respect Saturday night has also been placed in charge of the event by Championship Committee member Shawn Patrick, has indicated that he is on top of the situation and will have a replacement for Mr. Burton. Venom has also sent out a message to current Brass Knuckles Champion Jason Cage: Bring your A Game because you will be defending your title and defending it against a quality competitor hand picked by Venom himself.

Past Stars Set To Appear:

Obviously Scott Venom is one of the past NWA-East stars to return to the 16th Anniversary event on Saturday, September 25th, but other former stars are now set to appear on the event.

Cricle Of Respect member Quinn Magnum will appear to be the presenter for Scott Venom into the Circle Of Respect, but it is also rumored now that there is a major announcement going to be made regarding Quinn and his continued role in the NWA-East.

 Former NWA-East Tag-Team Champion Klubber Korbelic is set to return for the big event as well. The big man has heard the cheers of fans in the past as Country Boy Chris, but also has been one of the most hated men in the promotion as the 400+ lb 'Sexiest Man Alive' Klubber Korbelic. Which person will we see on Saturday night??

Former Heavyweight and Tag-Team Champion Bigg is making his return too. Bigg was last seen at the 3rd Annual Sean 'Shocker' Evans Memorial Show this past August, but before then had not been seen in the NWA-East in years. Can the former champ made a huge impact on this show??

Former Heavyweight, Tag-Team, and Three Rivers Champion Guido Corleone will be in the building. Guido is one of the most decorated wrestlers in NWA-East history and wasone of the finalists for entry into the Circle Of Respect this year. Now, how will Guido change the course of the evening??

 Finally, Jake Garrett will return to the Jacob Woll Pavillion for the 16th Anniversary Show. Jake is a former Tag-Team Champion as himself and as one of the masked Blue Dragons. Jake retired from wrestling early in 2010, but has said that he will picking the right moment to make his presence felt....

Now bear in mind that sometimes things come up and people have to cancel at the last moment, but as of this moment in time, these past stars are confirmed and ready to make the 16th Anniversary Show that much better!!!

'Contenders' ?!?!

 We have learned that the NWA-East is prepared to make a huge announcement at the 16th Anniversary Show in the form of a new concept entitled 'Contenders'. 'Contenders' is set to debut the show after the Anniversary Show on Saturday, October 9th and will feature 6 NWA-East stars going to war for four months against one another with what the NWA-East is calling the 'Ultimate Prize'.

 From what little bit that the NWA-East has revealed to us is that each of the 6 men asked to participate will face each other man in the competition one time with the best win/loss records being the way to advance and become one step closer to winning the entire competition.

No names have been revealed as of yet and the 'Ultimate Prize' has been kept a secret thus far too. However, we were able to do a little digging and find out that whatever the winning prize is, it is something that " Can be career changing for the winner and a platform for others to make themselves full time contenders to any title in the promotio as well"

  It sounds like a very interesting concept that the NWA-East is hoping will become a more than one time thing within the promotion.
