To sum up this day in one word for us...BUSY!

First, several people have been asking for photos and pictures of the day's events. We are taking quite a few, but will not be able to upload them until we return home on Sunday evening. They will probably be on our Facebook page. We will keep you posted on the home page as to when they are up.

Now, as I mentioned in our post from yesterday...vendor guests galore kicked off this day of Fan Fest. The Warlord, Barbarian, Rick "The Model" Martel & Shelton Benjamin all started signing autographs and taking pictures with the fans during the 9 o'clock hour. Brutus Beefcake, The Patriot, Al Perez, Matt Bourne, Sunny, Tito Santana, Dangerous Dan Spivey, Stacy "The Kat" Carter, Nikolai Volkoff, Boris Zhukov, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Ivan Koloff, Jimmy Valiant, Nightmare Ted Allen and Mike Jackson were all vendor guests today. But, the one that seemed to stand out the most was former World Class and Memphis star Eric Embry. There was someone there to meet him during his entire scheduled time. This is a rare guest indeed and a lot of fans took the opportunity to meet him. As we mingled around the vendor areas, each guest seemed to thoroughly enjoy meeting the fans. We did not hear one complaint for the guests that were here.

Unfortunately, due to some of the bad weather that we experienced in the South over the past couple of days, a few vendor guests were pushed back until Saturday (i.e. Mickie James, Sid Vicious).

Jim Cornette was selling off a lot of the memorabilia that he has collected over his career. He was even selling neck ties that he wore to the ring over the years. They actually sold out today. Plus, he is selling cancelled Smoky Mountain Wrestling checks for several of the different stars that worked for him during this time period. Cornette's prices are always very reasonable, which is why he always has someone at this tables buying something. Plus, he will sign just about anything that you bring up to him for no charge (which is nice!).

I do not know how the one autograph session went for everyone else, but we did not have any problems getting our merchandise signed by Nikita Koloff, Danny Hodge, Reggie Parks, Jim Ross, Greg Valentine, The Assassin & Tommy Young. Again, keep in mind, this is only one group's (husband & wife) opinion.

The photo opps with Jim Ross/Bob Caudle and Terry Funk were great. Each guy was very friendly and it was an honor to have my picture taken with them.

I had hoped to update this throughout the day, but that simply was not possible. I spent half of the day riding the elevator from my room to the Fan Fest area...

Thanks for reading our Friday update. Check back later to see what has happened on Saturday.

Take care,
HWC
