I just noticed this post on the NWA Legends Fanfest message boards. It is from Marty of T-Mart Promotions, who was bringing Bobby to Charlotte for the Fanfest next week.

"i am very sorry to have to make this announcement... bobby the brain heenan will not be able to make it to fanfest next week.
a few weeks ago bobby fell in house and fractured his hip but the strong man that he is was still coming to fanfest to see his fans.
he was going to be in a wheelchair but was going to make the show.
i got a email from his wife cindi letting me know of the bad news that while in rehab bobby went to go to the bathroom and fell once agin on tuesday night this time he fractured his pelvis and broke his shoulder.. bobby is having surgery on his shoulder aug 4th."
