At the NWA meeting of wrestling promoters at the Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas the discussion was about how to improve your business. With recognition from NWA President Sam Muchnick, Dory Funk Sr., Owner of the Amarillo Territory stepped up to the podium. In attendance were all 30 members of the National Wrestling Alliance. Bob Geigel, Fritz Von Erich, Eddie Graham, Jim Crockett Sr. Ray Gunkel, Mike London, Mike Labell, Frank Tunny, Vince McMahon Sr., Stu Hart, Ed Francis, Roy Shire and more.
Dory Funk Sr. said, "Fellas, if you want to know how to improve your business, the first place to look is at your television show. Television is the heart and soul of professional wrestling. If your television is on solid ground then your business will follow suit. Television production and performance is 50 % of what our business is about. The other 50 % is giving the paying customer at the house show, more than their money's worth every time out and they will come back for more----------"
Here at the Funking Conservatory Wrestling School, Television is a major part of our training program. In your first day of training you will have a wrestling match on video and do a wrestling interview.
