AMAZING KONG ADDED TO SEPTEMBER TAPING!

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES is proud to add Amazing Kong to the announced list of wrestlers who will be a part of our September DVD tapings at the Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL. Kong will participate in our Sunday, September 12th day of taping.
Amazing Kong will make her return after a six DVD hiatus from active SHIMMER competition. Kong had an impressive streak from 2006 until late 2009 of never being pinned or made to submit in a SHIMMER ring. It was former SHIMMER Champion MsChif who finally made history in the main event of Volume 28 by putting Kong down for a three count following a Super Desecrater. After the match, Kong showed MsChif that she had earned her respect, and proceeded to exit through the curtain and disappear from SHIMMER. Kong steps back into the Eagles Club on Sunday, September 12th. What does she have in store for the rest of the SHIMMER roster upon her return? Who will she target? We all will soon find out!
Kong joins previously announced talents SHIMMER Champion Madison Eagles, SHIMMER Tag Team Champions "The Canadian Ninjas" Portia Perez & Nicole Matthews, Cheerleader Melissa, Sara Del Rey, MsChif, Daizee Haze, Ayumi Kurihara, Nikki Roxx, Daffney, Jessie McKay, and Tomoka Nakagawa as those confirmed thus far for participation in the September tapings.

General admission seating is still available for both days of tapings. Cost is only $20 per day, which covers the filming of two full length SHIMMER DVD releases each day.

Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance returns to live action!

Close to two years in the making, the PWWA returns with 'Last Woman Standing'. This will be an epic event, featuring eight of Australia's top female wrestlers battling it out in a one night tournament to prove who truly is the best. Championships, trophies, achievements don't matter in this one. This tournament will be the ultimate bragging rights for one of the competitors. However, the difference between this tournament and every other is it features a slight twist. Due to all the recent heated altercations within PWA and the PWWA Women's Division, and to cancel out any possibility of an indecisive conclusion, the finals of this Tournament will be contested with NO DISQUALIFICATIONS! This means no matter what happens, a winner must be decided. No count outs, no disqualifications, just one sole victor.
PWWA presents 'Last Woman Standing', taking place Saturday the 3rd of July at the Liverpool Masonic Center, Liverpool (corner of Hume Highway & Memorial Avenue).
The 8 Women hand picked from around Australia for this Tournament are:
1. Madison Eagles (NSW)
New PWWA Champion and current USA SHIMMER Women's Athlete's Champion, Madison Eagles is set to continue her domination of the Women's Wrestling scene in this Tournament before returning to the USA to defend one of the most important Women's Wrestling Belt's in all of North America. Coming in at #31 in the 2009 PWI Magazine's Top 50 Female Wrestlers, Eagles has a lot to hold onto during this tournament, will her wrestling skill keep her on top or will her recent dealings with Jessie McKay throw her too far off her game to shoot for the Tournament Victory?
2. Shazza McKenzie (VIC)

Originally from Sydney, NSW, Shazza is one to create waves of excitement wherever she goes. Her bubbly personality is infectious, and her flexibility something to be contended with. Due to her happy go lucky nature and big heart you never know what to expect from this little blonde bottle rocket. Proving mostly throughout 2009 that she has what it takes to hold her own against the best in Australia, you can't underestimate how far Shazza will go in this Tournament.
3. Jessie McKay (NSW)
Jessie McKay is fuming after the recent loss of the PWWA Championship to Madison Eagles on June 11th. Ranked #49 in the 2009 PWI Magazine's Top 50 Female Wrestlers, McKay is climbing the ranks of the women's wrestling scene in the USA and is out to add to her wrestling achievement's by winning the PWWA Tournament. Her looks are definitely deceiving, as this hard hitting self confessed "Everybody's Favorite Girlfriend" looks to Yakooza Kick her way to the win.
4. Eliza Sway (VIC)
Tall, Tattooed and Un-Predictable, is the best way to describe Eliza Sway. She has been a part of PWWA since the beginning and is ready and set to try take her place at the top of the ladder. With her feet firmly planted in the Aussie wrestling scene, Eliza has been working hard since the start of 2010 to expand her wrestling experience against all the top PWWA Wrestlers. With her dark demeanor, we never know if Eliza Sway is fighting for what is right, or just to win at any cost.
5. Kellie Skater
This hard hitting, bigger then her boots, Victorian wrestler from "The Awesomest Place Ever" Bacchus Marsh, is not one to be messed with. The first ever PWWA Champion will be doing anything and everything she can to make it to the finals of this all women's tournament, as she feels her extensive experience with matches that have no rules will easily give her the upper hand in the finals. Her only downfall may be her delusional self image as an INDY-structible 'Rate Tank'
6. Miami (SA)
As the most inexperienced wrestler going into this tournament, Miami has her work cut out for her. In saying that she also has nothing to loose and everything to gain. A clear underdog against this group of A-List Australian female wrestlers, Miami's height and athletic build will be a definite helping hand.
7. Savannah Summers (SA)
Savannah is by far the leader in the women's wrestling division in South Australia. With impressive wins over the top female talent in Australia, this hard working, always improving wrestler is more then ready to take on any of the girls that may step into the ring with her on July 3rd. This beauty has made it clear she wants to fight for the win.
8. Harley Wonderland (NSW)
Not much is known about this new addition to the PWWA roster, which is making most of the girls in the PWWA locker room nervous. Her intense look and clear hatred for most of the girls, might just give Harley the edge she needs to take out the entire tournament. If she makes it far in this tournament, there is no doubt she will be looking for a PWWA Title shot.

SHIMMER Women Athletes returns to live action at the Berwyn Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL on Saturday & Sunday, September 11th & 12th, 2010. Volumes 33-36 of the SHIMMER DVD series will be filmed over the course of the weekend. Bell time on Saturday, September 11th is 2pm. Bell time on Sunday, September 12th is 1pm.
