MEETING TED DIBIASE SR & VIRGIL AT ADVENTURE-CON

My daughter Tiffany and I went to the AdventureCon convention in Pigeon Forge yesterday. We got there about 2:30 in the afternoon. Many vendors and stars had already finished up and gone, since they had been there for three days at that point. Greg Valentine was one who already gone when we got there. But when we walked in, Mr. DiBiase and Virgil were standing there by their table. Everything had already been closed down, but Mr. DiBiiase shook my hand. We had a nice conversation about his WWE Hall of Fame induction this year. He and Virgil agreed to a picture, even though they were techinically 'done', and even found someone to shoot it for us so that my daughter and I could both be in the picture with both stars at the same time. When we finished with the picture, Ted recognized the shirt I was wearing from the Charlotte fan convention last year, which led to a conversation about how he was going to be in Charlotte this year. We parted very amicably, promising to see each other again in just in a few months in Charlotte.As we were leaving, Mick Foley was across the room from us, and he came over and stood talking to Ted and Virgil. I wish I'd thought to get a shot of all those wrestling greats together at one time.
Although it was Sunday, and business was slow and we'd already missed a lot from the previous three days, I am glad we went when we did. Mr. DiBiase and Virgil were very accomodating, polite and talkative in that settting. There were no other fans around, no one pushing us out of the way for a photo or an autograph, and the stars weren't rushed. I very much enjoyed meeting them and will always remember this special day. And, I am looking forward to seeing Mr. DiBiase again in Charlotte.
