Fusion Fu"sion, n. 1. The merging of different elements into one union.

On May 22, 2010 that is exactly what will happen. In an effort to create a more competitive atmosphere, NYWC management has decide to unify the Hi-Fi Championship and the Interstate Championship to create the Fusion Championship. On May 22, 2010 there will be an eight man tournament with the winner of the tournament facing the Hi-Fi Champion and the Interstate Champion in a "Three Way Dance" that very night. In the days and weeks to come NYWCwrestling.com will announce the eight men that will take part in this tournament. So the question is.... who will stand tall when two become one?

The four 1st round matchups in the FUSION Tournament:

Bruno Marciano vs. Tony Mamaluke

A product of the NYWC Training Academy and in a few short years has made quite a name for himself in the Tri-State area. Bruno Marciano is a former Hi-Fi champion and current Diamond champion in New Jersey's ACE promotion. Can he add another championship to his collection?

            Tony Mamaluke is a graduate from the Malenko Training Academy and a former ECW Tag Team Champion is well respected by the superstars of the NYWC. After spending 10 years in the big 3 (WWE, WCW, and ECW) Mamaluke is looking to climb back to the top like years past.

John Silver vs. Azrieal

An NYWC homegrown superstar who had a very impressive 2009 and so far 2010 is looking even better. John Silver has battled for the Hi-Fi and Interstate titles and has become a favorite of the NYWC fans. Will Fusion be the night were Silver wins gold?

            Trained by TNA superstar Homicide, Azrieal has been part of great companies like ROH (Ring of Honor) and JAPW (Jersey All Pro Wrestling). Azrieal has held his fair share of gold in New Jersey, but now is ready for some New York gold!

Benny Martinez vs. Quiet Storm

Another graduate of the NYWC Training Academy, Benny has been in the hunt for the Interstate championship over the past few months. Will he finally get the gold and become the golden boy from Puerto Rico?

            Trained by Mikey Whipwreck and a former NYWC Champion. He has traveled the world perfecting his craft. During his travels he was able to capture gold in Japan and was a participant in the ECWA's prestigious Super 8 Tournament. This international superstar has had success all over the world and is looking to continue that success by becoming the first ever Fusion Champion.

"Platinum" Pat Buck vs. Chris Forza

      Pat's career has come full circle, and what a circle it has been. Pat has been part of two great promotions over the past couple of years OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) and FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling). Buck is the current head trainer of the NYWC Training Academy where he started his career years ago. Can Pat add another achievement to his resume...Fusion Champion?

            In the new and improved "High Society", Forza has become Alex Reynolds' "right hand" man and has been turning heads in the NYWC since his arrival in the NYWC late last year. If Forza wins the Fusion tournament will he still be the "right hand" man or prove to everyone he is "THE" man?
