Pro Wrestling Syndicate presents VENDETTA on Saturday night May 8 at Stepinac High School on 950 Mamaroneck Ave in White Plains NY with a 7pm bell time.
Lets get right into the action of this stacked independent wrestling super card.
For the PWS Heavyweight Championship it will be the champion; MMA superstar & former Pro Boxing Super Heavyweight Champion "Butterbean" Eric Esch taking on Reality Check's Kevin Matthews whom will be accompanied by the returning Alexa Thatcher. Butterbean walked out of PWS' Brawl For Paul event on May 29, 2009 as the PWS Champion, which saw the end of Reality Check leader Devon Moore's 18 month long PWS Title reign. Kevin Matthews is looking to bring the gold back to Reality Check but will have to get past the massive 400 pound human wrecking ball Butterbean whom knocked out Trent Acid at PWS' last event in order to do so.
In a special FIRST TIME EVER DREAM MATCH, TNA Champion "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles will take on recently released WWE Superstar "The Ripper" Paul Birchill ! This is sure to be a potential Match Of The Year as two of the best technical wrestlers in the world will step foot in the ring against each other. This will be Birchill's first match since leaving the WWE a few weeks ago, and if fans are not familar with what Birchill is capable of in the ring, we urge you to check out some of his matches in the UK before joining the WWE.
Also in a First Time Ever Dream Match, International Legend Vampiro makes his long awaited PWS debut as he takes on PWS regular ... former WWE Lightweight Champion + the former ECW Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn. This is an expolosive match pairing off two legit wrestling legends that above and beyond anything are two of the biggest innovators in pro wrestling over the past 2 decades. Both of these men are two of the first to really combine a wrestling style mixing high flying, chain wrestling, and hardcore brawling all into one tight package. The former WCW star + Wrestling Society X Champion Vampiro will have the lovely Shelly Martinez of WWE fame by his side.
And speaking of legends, it will be First Time Ever battle of WWE Legends as one of the most recognizable pro wrestlers of all time, Hacksaw Jim Duggan with 2x4 in hand takes on The Original Doink The Evil Clown! A little known fact about these two legends, is that before they both wrestled for the WWE, they were actually tag team partners meaning both of these men will be looking to prove something to the other.
Keeping the trend of First Time Ever Matches going, arguably TNA's most popular superstar "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero will make his PWS debut against the debuting "Assassin" Dan Maff whom is one of the North East's biggest independent wrestling stars, holding titles in several well known independent promotions.
The PWS Tag Team Titles will be on the line as The Urban Legends with Sony Records hip hop star Poison Pen in their corner will defend against The Buckout Road Ballers and The Cowboys From Hell in a Three Team Street Fight. PWS Office has decided that the PWS Tag Team Roster will be comprised only of original PWS Teams which has led to the formations of The Buckout Road Ballers consisting of high flyers Timmy Aiight & Joey Ayyo (HEY-YO) , as well as the mysterious new team The Cowboys From Hell...which from what little I've been told, one of them is near the 500 pound mark. Anything goes in this No DQ Street Fight with the tag straps on the line.
PWS will also be crowning its very first New York State Champion at Vendetta with a Six Man Elimination Match featuring six of the area's top stars..each of whom will have their manager at ringside with them.
This 6 Man Match includes Reality Check's Danny Demanto accompanied by the returning Velvet Sky, former PWS Champion Trent Acid with Annie Social by his side, the 400 pound monster Fala with his manager Wrestling Legend Ox Baker, "The Dynamic Senation" August Wright with Chloe Campbell, The Grim Reefer with Brianna, and Sonjay Dutt whom will be accompanied by former TNA star / Playboy cover girl Leticia Cline!
In Women's Action it will be a battle of two of North America's finest as we will see "The Canadian Ninja" Portia Perez take on former TNA star Alexis Nevaeh!
And by popular demand, The Best Of Five Series between Teddy Hart and Jack Evans will continue! The Series is currently tied 1-1, and Match #3 will be a special "TNA Dream Partner Tag Team Match" where each Teddy and Jack had to choose a tag team partner from the TNA Roster.
It will be Teddy Hart teaming with TNA Tag Team Champion The Amazing Red against the tandem of Jack Evans and Desmond Wolfe! Words cannot even describe the amount of wrestling talent in this one match as the two best high flying wrestlers in North America , Jack Evans & Amazing Red will finally oppose each other for the first time ever , and arguably the two best pound for pound all around wrestlers in North America Teddy Hart and Desmond Wolfe will finally be opposing each other. Throw in the aspect of Teddy Hart against Jack Evans which resulted in arguably 2008's Match Of The Year the first time it happened, this one is a guaranteed Match Of The Year candidate for 2010.
And in addition to those nine amazing matches ... there will also be a PWS Bikini Contest with special judges Joel Gertner and former NY Giants football star "The Touchdown Maker" Stephen Baker!
