Fozzy

Chris Jericho is no stranger to the spotlight. He's a WWE World Heavyweight Champion, VH1 "Best Week Ever" and "I Love the '80s" commentator and lead singer of the heavy-metal band Fozzy. Starting out as a cover band, Jericho and bandmates now write and perform original music. Fozzy released its self-titled debut album in 2000, and its newest release, "Chasing the Grail," in 2009. Metal bands Razer, Unforseen, Suite 88, Faceless, Phoenix and Dragon and Dinonicus open this all-ages show.

Tip: Get there early if you want to get anywhere close to the stage.

Details: 7 p.m. Friday, March 26. $15 advance, $18 at the door. Club Red, 2155 E. University Drive, Tempe. 480-258-2733, fozzyrock.com.

WrestleMania Reading Challenge

Students from around the U.S. and Canada compete in three age categories at this annual event. For the 21 finalists, the road to Phoenix started last October when they began reading 10 books, coming up with a reading slogan and designing a bookmark during the qualifying round. After being selected from more than 1,800 entries, these fifth- through 12th-graders will stand up in a quiz-show final competition judged by young-adult author Will Weaver. WWE panel guests include John Morrison, Kofi Kingston and the Bella Twins.

Tip: A great function for the whole family, and the best way to see WWE stars for free.

Details: 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 27. Free. Phoenix Burton Barr Public Library, 1221 N. Central Ave. 602-262-4636, wwe.com.

Bret "The Hitman" Hart book signing

A professional wrestling legend, Hart signs his autobiography, "Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling." The book chronicles his illustrious career, with personal accounts and choreography details about some of his most memorable matches.

Tip: Changing Hands Bookstore will give out letters to people who want to get an autograph (kind of like boarding an airplane), so get there early to get a prime place in line. Also, if you can't make it to the signing, pre-pay for a book and the bookstore will get a copy signed for you.

Details: 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27. Free autograph with $16.99 book. Changing Hands Bookstore, 6428 S. McClintock Drive, Tempe. 480-730-0205, changinghands.com.

Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

This glitzy affair will be filmed in Phoenix on Saturday and broadcast later that night on the USA Network. This year's honorees include "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase Sr., Antonio Inoki, Wendi Richter and Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon. Special tributes to past wrestlers are scheduled.

Tip: Don't worry that this event is sold out. You can see current WWE stars at Axxcess, taking place at the Phoenix Convention Center right down the street from Dodge Theatre, then go home and watch the ceremony from the comfort of your own couch.

Details: 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27. Sold out. Dodge Theatre, 400 W. Washington St., Phoenix.

WrestleMania XXVI

According to the WWE, this annual wrestling extravaganza is attended by people from 26 countries and watched on pay-per-view by more than 1 million fans. With matches between the league's biggest stars, it is the culmination of a year's worth of dramatic storylines. Look out for World Heavyweight titleholder Chris Jericho as he takes on Edge, and tune in to see if the Undertaker can maintain his 17-0 WrestleMania record in his bout against Shawn Michaels.

Tip: If you can't make it to the stadium for the show, you can stay close to the action by getting dinner or hanging out at Westgate.

Details: 3:45 p.m. Sunday, March 28. $25-$755. University of Phoenix Stadium, Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue, Glendale. 800-745-3000, ticketmaster.com/wwe.

WWE Raw

The day after the main event, this episode of Raw starts the road to next year's WrestleMania. Watch to see how such superstars as Triple H, John Cena, Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton fare after the previous night's battles.

Tip: If you can't get tickets to WrestleMania, this is a cheaper way to see many of the same WWE superstars in action.

Details: 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 29. $20-$60. US Airways Center, 201 E. Jefferson Street, Phoenix. 800-745-3000, ticketmaster.com/wwe.
