…
Hey guys!I just got back from the Stone Cold Steve Austin signing in New York at FYE in the Palisades Mall. The whole procedure was you HAD to buy the Damage DVD in order to get a wristband. Then the wristband is what got you an autograph. They were only selling 300 DVD's and it was on a first come first serve basis. We drove down on Wednesday night (we're from a little south of Boston and it was about a 4 hour ride) and got a hotel about 10 minutes from the mall. It was about 8:15am by the time we got into the mall and there was only one person in line. So we walked around the mall (4 floors of it) for about 45 minutes to an hour. We got back to the FYE and there was still hardly no one around. The gates opened right at 10 and there were only 5 of us total getting the DVD and the wristbands.
The signing was schedules from 6-8pm. We didn't want to hang around the mall until then so we went and did some shopping at some of the local stores, then went back to the mall and grabbed some lunch, and walked around once again. I want to say we got in line about 2ish. Thankfully we could sit and lean against the wall. Also thankfully there was a Target in the mall because those seat cushions I bought worked so good!
Austin showed up at roughly 6:05 and walked in through the front entrance of FYE. But as safety he had about 10 people (his staff, FYE staff and 2 cops) surrounding him. He was only signing 2 items. My boyfriend went first he was able to talk to him and Austin posed to take a picture. Then it was my turn. I wanted him to sign my body so I could get it tattooed, but I figured what I had for him to sign would be sufficient enough lol. We were probably done by 6:20ish (we were 25th in line).
Out of all the meet and greets we've been to (HBK, Jericho, Flair, Foley and Hogan), I probably say this has to be one of the smoothest signings I've been to, and it only cost us 2 dvd's to get it!!
