Countdown To NWS/WSU "2010 Jersey J-Cup Women's Tournament" Friday 4/2 In Neptune, NJ: Former ECW Women's Champions Jazz & Angel Orsini, TNA Wrestling Star Nikki Roxx, Plus A Title Defense By WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez, And Appearances By Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion The Iron Sheik, Former ECW Hardcore Icon Balls Mahoney & More.
The Jersey Shore will once again get a dose of pro wrestling excitement on On Friday night April 2nd at 7:45pm at Neptune, NJ's Shark River Hills Firehouse Hall, 200 Brighton Avenue (just off Routes 33 and 18, minutes from the Parkway), as National Wrestling Superstars and their sister all-ladies wrestling promotion, Women Superstars Uncensored, team up once again for an annual Northeast wrestling classic, the 2010 Jersey J-Cup Women's Tournament.
On this special night, eight of the top ladies on the pro circuit today will compete in a one-night single elimination tournament, where the winner not only gets a trophy and bragging rights, but more importantly they get a guaranteed WSU World Championship match later in the year.
This year's field of competitors include a plethora of current and former TV wrestling stars, including former ECW Women's Championship title holders Jazz and Angel Orsini, TNA Wrestling star Nikki Roxx, WSU Spirit Champion Brittney Savage, plus regional standouts Alicia and Jana, and rising rookie stars Divina Fly and Tina San Antonio.
And speaking of the WSU World Champion, the reigning title-holder "The Latina Sensation" Mercedes Martinez will definitely not have the night off, as she defend her title that night in Neptune against the current number-one contender, the undefeated Amber O'Neal.
But the men of NWS will also see ring time, including former ECW hardcore icon John "Balls" Mahoney, former NWS Cruiserweight Champion and Ocean Tonship favorite Mighty Mikey Pacifica, The Commandos, and more. Plus just announced... there will be a special guest appearance by none other than former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Hall-of-Famer The Iron Sheik.
