*Howdy everyone...here's hoping that every one is well and in good spirits.
I'm preparing to hit the road for a trip down to Lubbock, Texas for the OU
vs. Texas Tech Big 12 Slobber Knocker Saturday. The game is at 11:30 a.m. on
Fox Sports Southwest. It's a nice haul to Lubbock but after working for
the "Big Cowboy" a 5 hour or so drive is no hill for a stepper.

I received a note from Superstar Billy Graham's daughter Capella Flaherty, who informed us that he was in the hospital with some liver complications.  He is on the road to recovery now.  Capella also sent a note that Billy is separated from his wife Valerie for the past 3 months and is in the process of a divorce.

In comments given to TMZ.COM, Brock Lesnar's friend and Jiu-Jitsu coach Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros said that the UFC Heavyweight champion will return to fight and will be able to do so in the next six months. Lesnar underwent minor surgery earlier this week and while he's still not out of the woods, the champ is getting better. "I can just say that the heavyweights can stop laughing and get ready to start crying because the champion will be back soon," Medeiros said. Lesnar has been sick for a while now and the surgery repaired a hole he had in his intestine which was causing all the internal problems.

KAALTV, the local ABC network affiliate serving Austin, Rochester and Mason City in Minnesota had a story about a local baker shop being asked by WWE to produce a large gingerbread wrestling ring to be used as the cover photo for their Christmas cards this year. At first the two bakers from The Gingerbread House thought it was a scam but it was really WWE calling for help. The duo worked on the ring and invited the ABC affiliate to come a take some footage of it before it ships out, adding that they hope it makes it all the way to Stamford, CT, in one piece!

Local bakery wrestles with a sweet idea

ROCHESTER, MN (KTTC-DT) -- Wrestling isn't a piece of cake, except this time around.

Gingerbread House Owner John Fish got a call a few weeks back from a guy in New York and at first thought it was a scam.

"Wanted to know if we'd be interested in making a wrestling house in the shape of an arena," says John.

The caller was from World Wrestling Entertainment, seeking out a bakery that could perfect a not-so common Gingerbread wrestling ring.

Maybe he found John's bakery because they already do un-common things, such as baking giant gingerbread men that end up in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Whatever the reason, this project is scaled down; but has to be shipped east, for the real reason behind its creation.

"They plan on using it on their Christmas cards. They want to take a picture of it and they'll put snow and trees around it."

John and his son Mike spent the last couple of weeks working on the elaborate details like licorice ropes and expressions on the gingerbread men's faces.

The project isn't fully edible: there's hot glue and nails, for shipping purposes.

But there will be one thing broken at the end.

"They're going to break the one, the loser, in half and have him laying on the mat," says John.  "I couldn't do that."

Now this is a win, in the wrestling world, and the gingerbread world.

The gingerbread wrestling ring was scheduled to be shipped via FedEx Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning, the Gingerbread House told KTTC FedEx could not insure the cake, so John and his wife decided to drive the cake to Connecticut themselves.
