……

Hi Georgie:

Took the family to N.J. this weekend to attend the LOTR show and wanted to send you a quick report of what a TREMENDOUS time we all had.

As usual, Terrance and James of LOTR put on a stellar event that ran smoothly throughout the day.  All of the superticket guests seemed genuinely happy to be there and took the time to chat as they took pictures and signed items.  The event was very family friendly (important to me with two young daughters).

Superstars that really went above and beyond to make it a great event included "Superstar" Billy Graham (who made it a point to ask my wife and my daughters on a couple of occasions throughout the day if they were having fun), Terry Funk (ditto the previous statement), Rikishi (what a great guy!), Danny Davis, Kevin Von Erich and Teddy Long to name just a few.

The vendor guests for the most part were tremendous as well (with the exception of Angelina Love who for whatever reason seemed to want to be anywhere else than at the show when I met her).  Special kudos to Greg Price who ran (yet again) a top notch booth with ultra rare guests Buddy Landel, Billy Robinson and Karen Angle.  All of his guests were GREAT and Greg provided an excellent experience with VERY reasonable prices.

Other great vendor guests included Highspots with Austin Idol (who has barely aged a bit and looks in phenomenal shape for 60 years old), Awesome Kong (again, great with my daughters), Velvet Sky, Kevin Sullivan, Mark Lewin and Sir Oliver Humperdink among many others.

I also attended the Ring Roast on Friday night (without the family as it was an adults orientated event) and had a great time there as well catching up with some great friends (great to reunite the S.C.P.) and listening to some very moving speeches as well as great humor.  The only issue with the roast (for me) was New Jack who, in my opinion, was inappropriate and out of line several times during the festivities.  In any event, it was a great evening of fun, friends and nostalgia all honoring Terry Funk.

To anyone who has not attended a LOTR show…you should!!!  It’s a fun filled weekend that is very family orientated and a great value for our hard earned dollars.

Thanks again to Terrance, James and the entire staff of LOTR…including Dan, Dave and Cliff who always run smooth lines while still remaining fan friendly and professional!

Can’t wait until the next show…
