NWS Results From Brick, NJ 10/3: Former WWE & WCW Tag-Team Champions The Nasty Boys Vs. Former WWE'ers Salvatore Sincere & Kevin Matthews, The Nigerian Nightmares Vs. Former ECW Brawler The Equalizer & The Buccaneer, NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "Love Machine" Nicky Oceans Defends His Title, Baghdad Bullies Members Hasheem "Chemical"Ali & Evil T.N.T In Action, And More

National Wrestling Superstars kicked off the month of October with a return to its favorite Jersey Shore venue, the Brick, NJ Elks Lodge, on Saturday night October 3rd. The crowd, better than originally hoped for but still lighter than usual, at least by NWS standards in these tough economic times, witnessed a Bombastic night of NWS style pro rasslin' action from start to finish.

In the opening contest, The B.S. Express vs. "Mr. Entertainment" J.D. Smoothie & The Soul Assassin fought to a double countout. The BS Express showed why they are considered rising stars in the NWS tag-team ranks, using their teamwork to keep pace with the veteran Smoothie & high-flying Assassin. The hard-hitting match eventually spilled to the outside, where all four men brawled until the referee reached the count of ten and disqualified both teams.

NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "Love Machine" Nicky Oceans (with manager Gigalo Joe Jones) retained his title against "Too Hot" Steve Scott. The match was originally signed to be a non-title match, but the overconfident Oceans thought so little of his opponent that he offered to make it a title match. This was almost a costly mistake on Oceans' part, as rising star Scott kept pace with Oceans for most of the match, nearly putting him away on several occasions. Oceans eventually won by sneaking in a pair of brass knuckles, while his manager distracted the referee, and knocked Scott out cold with them, tossing them away before the referee turned around and made the three-count for Oceans.

In a battle of NWS newcomers, Matt Demorest defeated G. Fatal. The tough brawling Demorest and the high-flying Fatal both impressed the fans with several minutes of heated action, before Demorest put Fatal away with a crucifix slam into a gutbuster, followed by the three-count.

The Nigerian Nightmares (with managers Gigalo Joe Jones & "Voodoo Princess" Sheeta) defeated former ECW brawler The Equalizer & The Buccaneer (with manager "Goumba" Johnny Diamond). Former WWE star Salvatore Sincere & former WWE developmental protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews also accompanied The Nightmares to the ring, as they had originally signed on to face Equalizer and Buccaneer, but NWS Commissioner Gino Moore informed them that their manager Jones had switched them to instead face former WWE & WCW Tag-Team Champions The Nasty Boys (and had apparently forgotten to tell them). Sincere and Matthews were furious at Jones for the switch, and angrily left ringside. The Nightmares then attacked Equalizer and Buccaneer and the match was on. The veteran brawler Equalizer was able to hold his own in the ring one-on-one, but when the Nightmares double-teamed him and the rookie Buccaneer, it was too much, and after twin flying splashes on Buccaneer, The Nightmares pinned him 1-2-3. It was not over even then, as Sincere & Matthews returned to the ring to further attack Equalizer and Buccaneer, but Jones' goons were all chased away when the aforementioned Nasty Boys themselves ran out from the back to clear the ring.

In a tag-team match, Ryan Blackheart & Baghdad Bullies member T.N.T (with manager Hasheem "Chemical" Ali) defeated Slayer & Kamakazi. Although majorly out-sized, Slayer and Kamakazi kept even with TNT and Blackheart for most of the match. In the end, it was the man on the outside, Ali, who made the difference for his team, hitting Slayer with a "Wet Floor" sign as Slayer was poised on the top rope to level TNT. Slayer fell into TNT's patented chokeslam, followed by a splash from Blackheart and the 1-2-3. TNT, Blackheart, and Ali continued to attack Slayer and Kamakazi, and even chokeslammed the referee when he tried to break it up, until former WWE star "America's Hero" The Patriot, who had been hanging out in the locker room with his friends, ran out to chase his Baghdad Bullies rivals away. Commissioner Moore announced that at NWS' next show in Brick, TNT and Blackheart and Ali would face Slayer and Kamakazi and The Patriot in a six-man tag-team match, and appointed The Equalizer as the special guest referee.

Baghdad Bullies member Hasheem "Chemical" Ali defeated luchador Manuel Manny Moore. Despite Manuel's quickness and high-flying skills, Ali's size and power advantage was just too much, and after Manuel missed a desperate attempt at a 6-1-9, Ali flattened Manuel with a Brock Lesnar-style F5, and pinned him 1-2-3.

In the main event, former WWE & WCW Tag-Team Champions The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Saggs, with manager "Goumba" Johnny Diamond) defeated former WWE star Salvatore Sincere & former WWE developmental protege "Too Cocky" Kevin Matthews (with manager Gigalo Joe Jones). True to form, the Nasty Boys snuck into the ring and attacked Sincere & Matthews from behind while they were starting at the locker room curtain taunting their opponents to come on out. With four experienced brawlers in the ring, the match was expected to be all over the place, and it was, including outside the ring and into the crowd. In the end, Knobbs and Saggs leveled Matthews with twin elbow drops and pinned him for the victory. As Matthews and Sincere staggered out of the ring, their manager Jones was left behind with Knobbs and Saggs, and received the Armpit of Doom much to the delight of the crowd. But before Sincere and Matthews and Jones left the ringside area, Commissioner Moore dropped another bombshell by announcing that, at NWS' next Brick show, in addition to the six-man tag-team match anounced earlier, Gigalo Joe Jones had signed Sal Sincere and Kevin Matthews to a special tag-team match, and introduced their opponents... The Nigerian Nightmares! The crowd went wild, and then went home happy and eager for the next event to roll around.

Then on Saturday night October 24th, NWS makes a long-awaited return to the North Brunswick Township, NJ High School Gym, with former WWE World Champion and Hall of Famer "Superstar" Billy Graham, ECW & WCW hardcore legends Terry Funk & "The Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan, and TNA Wrestling star Lacey Von Erich.
