National Wrestling Superstars kicked off its Fall 2009 tour with a lighter than usual crowd on Friday night, September 18th at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Despite the attendance, the stars working for National Wrestling Superstars, as always gave 150% and the fans who were in attendance went away in full appreciation.
Before the opening contest, as ring announcer Dappy Johnny Falco was announcing the playing of the National Anthum, Danny Demanto and Kevin Matthews burst out of the curtain and tell the people to keep standing as they come to the ring. Danny grabbed the microphone from Dapper and tell the people to get used to standing and applauding as they are looking at the two guys who are going to take over the wrestling business Kevin Matthews then grabbed the microphone and demanded a warm-up bout to show the New Samoans what’s going to happen to them when they get into the ring later on tonight. They both then call out two wanna be wrestlers…aka NWS Security Sonny Boy Gullano and B-Ferm and challenge them to an impromptu match and tell them that if they win (and laugh that it will be a big “if”), they can have the main event tonight and their=2 0pay too. They throw off the security vests and go after Danny and Kevin with Gullano landin g a few forarms into the mouth of Matthews (a mistake he would soon regret) as both Demanto and Matthews came back to destroy them, with Demanto putting Ferm in a Camel Clutch and Matthews using his own submission on Gullano. The rest of security and referee helps the security wrestlers to the back. Danny and Kevin are proud then head back to the locker room.
Bout #1
Chikara Wrestling's Frightmare and Ophidian took on NWS bad boys JD Smooth and Joey Janela, aka "The J Squad". The J Squad actually looked like they may score a win over the Chikara crew before their egos got the best of them and they started brawling among themselves. Security and referees once again got involved and broke up the pair and as Smooth went to once again attack Janella, he tripped and caught his head on the outside ringpost and his next trip was a visit to a local hospital where he took 12 staples in the head. After speaking with him after his release from the hospital, he vowed that he may have taken staples, but Janella will feel the pain next time they meet.
Bout #2
Special Women's Superstars Uncensored Title bout pitting champion Mercedes Martinez against challenger Brooke Carter. This was not the first time these two met in an NWS ring and Brooke was prepared to show why she deserved the title and battle valiantly, but Martinez showed why she is the Iron Woman of Wrestling and after nearly 10 minutes. defeated Carter 1-2-3.
Bout #3
Handicap match pitting one half of the undeated Nigerian Nightmares against the Illegal Out of Space Alien and Slayer. Slayer tried sharing his toys with the Nigerian Nightmare and Voodoo Princess Sheeta, but they like meat, not dog biscuits and destroyed both of the opponents.
Bout #4
Tag team match pitting locals J.T. Highlander and Ryan Rumble against The B.S. Express. Highlander, making his return to the NWS Rings came with an attitude and looked at his partner lik e he had two heads (and if you've seen Rumble you might know why with his antics and bouncing around and around). After nearly 8 minutes Highlander turned on Rumble while the ref was trying to maintain order with the BS express. While the ref''s back was turned, Highlander layed out Rumble and then the BS Express, unaware of what happened, covered Rumble for the win. In the meantime, Highlaner went back and called out the Nigerian Nightmare, Danny Demanto and Kevin Matthews to beat down on the BS Express while he continued the attack on Rumble. Finally ref maintains order and security helps Rumble to the back.
Bout #5
Tag Team Attraction. Nicky Oceans and Devon Moore vs Myke "G.Q." Quest and Corvis Fear. This match pitted the best from 3 different companies against one another and it was a match that left the fans stunned and amazed. Quest seemed more interested in going after Moore and Oceans individually trying to weaken them in an upcoming TLC Match (more below) and left the ring after a tag with Corvis Fear who took the fall and loss for his team. After the bout, Quest took the mic and told Oceans and Moore that he is saving himself for these two in Manville on October 10. Fear grabbed the mic and says “what about me? You three have conspired to go against me and I want to be part of that Tables Ladders and Chairs match. In fact, lets do it now” . NWS Commissioner Gino Moore told Fear “hold on Corvis. I can feel your pain but the match in Manville is already signed. So tell you what I am going to do. You are going to be in the match but as a Special Guest Referee. How about it? It’s your choice. The fans want to know now, so how about it whereas Fear answered“I guess I’ll see you three in Manville on October 10th.
Match #6
Main Event pitting the New Samoans (Nagu and former WWE Headshrinker Samu) against Danny Demanto and Kevin Matthews. Matthews and Demanto kept Nagu toward their side of the ring, keeping Samu from tagging and arguing with the referee who tried keeping him in the corner. After nearly 10 minutes, Samu made20his wa y into the ring where it was an all out brawl. As they tried to whip Matthews and Demanto into each other, they were reversed and slammed into each other and then in the Samoan tradition, started beating each other, giving Demanto and Matthews a laugh. While this was going on, the two security guards who were beaten earlier snuck up from behind and gave Matthews and Demanto a low blow. Demanto and Matthews then were finished off by the New Samoans while Ferm and Gullano stood on the second rope and counted with the ref. Demanto and Matthews blamed each other for the loss and they started pushing and slapping each other before Matthews ran toward the locker room area. Before he could get through the curtian, Commissioner Moore asked if they were serious and wanted to fight each other. He then told them "Well the next time I have an opening is our NWS Friday Night October 30th Howlin Halloween Eve Show in Long Branch and since it’s Halloween Eve, you two guys won’t have to dress up in any costume, BUT, you too are going against each other in a Coffin Match. Oh, and I have one more “treat” for you on this special day…you have a special guest referee that night. It’s the ECW Zombie!
