RESULTS FROM WSU 8/22 BOONTON, NJ

| Last night, WSU presented another quality women's wrestling event, which saw, among other things, a top level world title match, a tag title change, and new talent. The show was over 4 hours long, with more matches than usual, so if I apologize if I forget to mention anything: Taping 1: Match 1: Amber defeated Roxie Cotton, to earn a WSU Spirit title shot as part of the next taping- Both competitors have improved a lot since I first saw them, and it is great to see Amber back in WSU. Amber picked up the win in this opening contest. Match 2: Amber O'Neal defeated Annie Social- WSU has acquired a great new talent in Amber O'Neal, and I hope to see her back in WSU. Fun match, which Amber O'Neail won via rollup. Match 3: Jessica Havok and Hailey Hatred defeated Cindy Rogers and Ariel- Havok and Hatred have developed into good heels, since the last taping in June, where they were semi-tweeners. Havok and Hatred picked up the win, earning momentum going into their tag title shot. Match 4: Kylie Pierce defeated Lea Morrison- Well, I guess that partnership didn't last long. Solid match, won by Kylie Pierce. Match 5: Latasha defeated Jana to retain the WSU Spirit title- Wild, stiff brawl that went all over the building. I would love to see these two in a street fight, or even a steel cage. Match 6: Brooke Carter and Alicia defeated Angel Orsini and Rain, via DQ, to retain the WSU tag titles- The recent PWI article is accurate, as Brooke Carter is a great young talent, and I wouldn't be surprised if one day she is re-united with Miss April, in the WWE. Finish came with a ref bump, followed by Rain giving a chair to Angel Orsini, which she refused to use. Rain took the chair and hit Brooke Carter with it, just in time for the ref to come to and call for the bell. Rick Cataldo and Sean Hanson's wedding- Cataldo needs to go, and by go, I mean get run over by a truck. This set up Roxie Cotton VS Rick Cataldo, and Missy Sampson VS Sean Hanson, both in loser leaves WSU matches. Match 7: Mercedes Martinez defeated Nikki Roxx to retain the WSU World Women's Championship- Awesome match, pitting two great talents against each other for the belt. After a long, hard fought battle, Mercedes Martinez picked up the win with a fisherman's buster, off the top turnbuckle. Intermission: Most of the locker room came out for autographs and photo ops, and the fan interaction is one of my favorite aspects of the indies. Taping 2: Match 1: Amber O'Neal defeated Cindy Rogers- I'm glad that Amber O'Neal is getting somewhat of a push, as the is an awesome talent. Another great match. Match 2: Ariel defeated Lea Morrison, Ariel, and I believe Jana in a fatal 4 way elimination match- It was good to have a fatal 4 way, to offer more variety. Lea Morrison pinned Kylie Pierce to further their fued, but was later pinned by Ariel, who won the match. Match 3: Latasha defeated Amber to retain the WSU Spirit title- Another solid match, which help to elevate the prestige of the WSU Spirit title. Match 4: Rick Cataldo defeated Roxie Cotton in a loser leaves WSU match- I don't get why Roxie would be booked to get kicked out of WSU, as she has improved a lot since joining the promotion, unless she is leaving on her own terms for some reason. Match 5: Missy Sampson defeated Sean Hanson in a loser leaves WSU match. Quick squash, followed by a beatdown on Missy Sampson by Havok and Hatred. Missy appeared to be hurt for real, and she was on the floor for a pretty long time. Match 6: Havok and Hatred defeated Alicia and Brooke Carter to win the WSU tag titles- I wonder if Alicia is going back to school soon, and that is why the title change was booked. Regardless, Havok and Hatred gained a lot of heel heat, and are now the team to beat in WSU. Match 7: Angel Orsini and Rain defeated Mercedes Martinez and Nikki Roxx- Solid tag team main event. Postmatch, Nikki Roxx turned on Mercedes Martinez, and Angel Orsini tutned on Rain, setting up Angel Orsini VS Rain at the next event. Overall, another great WSU show, and looking forward to October's event in Union City. * * * * * Hi Georgie, Just wanted to let you know that I had an amazing time at the wsu show in Boonton NJ tonight.
