DAMN !!! …
Georgiann, Hello, I have a report from Maryland Championship Wrestling's Summer Heat show from 8/7/09. Ron Simmons was in the main event for the night teaming up with MCW Heavyweight Champion Ruckus. The 1st two pictures are myself with Ron and then the others are just random shots of him. I won a contest from a local wrestling blog site that gave me free general admission to the show and also a pre-show meet and greet with Ron backstage along with an 8x10 photo. Ron was extremely outgoing and very polite. He shook my hand several times thanking me for being a fan and asking how I was. This was my first time ever meeting him and I'm even more of a Simmons fan now then I already was. I asked him how the whole "DAMN" catchphrase started and he said he would get angry about things and that word always came up so he thought why not use it for his character. I told him it's money, lol! Everybody at MCW said "DAMN" throughout the whole night. Also, I told him it's great to have him back in Baltimore, especially since he won his 1st WCW Heavyweight title here. I said Baltimore loves him and he was very appreciative of it.
