NWA ANARCHNY TV TAPING RESULTS from 8-1-09
1) Brodie Ray Chase & Seth Delay defeated The Youth Gone Wild (Dustin
Knight and Anthony Henry) via pinfall after Chase hit a gutwrench
powerbomb and Delay iced the cake with a top rope fist drop.
- Mike Posey conducted a "Sexy Seminar For Referees", particularly
taking Dee Byers to task
- The Rev reminded fans it was the 30 year anniversary of the night
"The Heart Punch" took a man's life in a Georgia ring (Ray Gunkel,
8-1-1972, in Savannah) and that "The Strong Style Psycho" Tank, who in
his renewed homecoming would be the man to bring it back to pro
wrestling and then explained the anatomical damage that it inflicts.
3) Tank w/ The Rev defeated Kareem Jamar & Mr
handicapped match wth The Heart Punch
4) Todd Sexton defeated El Veterano IV via the running knee. After the
bout Sexton called out Malachi saying he was no champion, and
challenged him to a match on 8-15-09.
5) Kimo w/ Jeff G. Bailey defeated Mikal Judas via pinfall. This was a
result of a rollercoaster ride ending. We saw Judas get Kimo in
position for El Crucifejo, and Bailey panicked running into the ring
towards Judas to try and stop the certain doom that awaited his
charge. Judas sprayed Bailey in the face with his blood mist,
temporarily blinding the agent/attorney. While the official tended to
Bailey, NWA National Heavyweight Champion Phil Shatter came out of
nowhere hitting the spear on Judas, and Kimo was able to roll over and
get a quick pin.
5) Jeremy Vain defeated Slim J via pinfall after the VDT. Prior to
the end of the contest, J was dumped to the floor by Vain in an act of
desperation as Slim J had Jeremy Vain rocking. While the cagey Anarchy
champ occupied the referee, Chase & Delay attempted to finish of J on
the floor, but Orion Bishop came to his aid and sent Chase & Delay
packing. Bishop, in an effort to keep Slim J from getting counted out,
helped him back into the ring but in the confusion Vain capitalized
and planted J with the VDT. The fans were especially vocal during this
bout.
- Break -
6) Bo Newsome defeated Mike Posey via pinfall after a roll-up. It
appeared Posey was more occupied with chastising official
than his opponent, and he paid the price.
7) Hate Junkies (Dany Only & Stryknyne) / Entourage (Andrew Alexander
& Mike Moseley) w/ Jay Clinton & Mercedes Moseley vs. Rowdy Friends
(Don Matthews, Jessco Blue & Wild Bunch - Chris King & Billy Buck) was
ruled a no contest after the referee lost control of the match, but it
was the post match scene that got ugly. Matthews, Blue & The Hate
Junkies fought to the back and Jay Clinton assisted Alexander &
Moseley by distracting Billy Buck while they gave Chris King a spike
piledriver. This was a frightening moment as King was carried out on a
stretcher to seek medical attention, with officials fearing the worst.
8) Talent & Money vs. New Wave was left without an official ruling, as
The New Wave pinned JT Talent in the first fall with the Unskinny Bop,
Talent & Money pinned Steven Walters in the 2nd fall after Pendleton
hit a low blow behind the refs back, and on the 3rd fall New Wave were
going for The Double Vision, which was countered and it turned into a
double superplex that ended with both Derrick Driver & JT Talent's
shoulders pinned to the mat. Referees argued over just exactly who was
pinned, and it was later determined that NWA authorities would review
the tape, and an offical decision regarding the status of the tag team
titles will be announced on August 15th.
NWA Anarchy Young Lion's Champion Malachi joined Greg Hunter for a
brief in ring interview, accepting Sexton's challenge 8-15-09 and
vowing to shut his mouth.
Wrestlevision showed an interview with NWA Anarchy Heavyweight
Champion Jeremy Vain talking to a man off camera, whose shadow was all
we could see, it appeared he was making the "Claw" gesture. Vain told
him to continue to be patient, and that everything would pay off soon.
9) NWA National Champion Phil Shatter w/ Jeff G. Bailey defeated via
Truitt Fields via pinfall after the PTSD in a Boot Camp Match. Both
men showed up in their army fatigues with Shatter painted up
"Commando" style, and this was an all out brawl, with a majority of
the action taking place anywhere but the ring, but the bout could only
end via pinfall in the ring and any other rules were out the window.
Just a few of the highlights saw a ladder and a few folding chairs get
involved, and Shatter hit a brutal running powerslam on Fields on the
floor. Shatter removed his steel toed combat boot and attempted to
finish off Fields, but Truitt was having none of it as they struggled
for possession of that weapon. Once Fields had firm control, he went
to put the finishing touch on the National Champion but The Unholy
Champion Shaun Tempers, Skirra Corvus & Kimo with the boot but turned
around too late as Shatter was waiting with the PTSD for the 123.
After the match Bailey & The Rev ordered The Alliance to destroy
Fields, but Ace Rockwell & Mikal Judas joined the fight to even the
odds. This introduced Tank who took control of this fight back over
for The Unholy Alliance, and just as he was about to finish Rockwell
with the Heartpunch, Jerry Palmer led down the ramp, the returning
ICEBERG!!!! With the 450 pounder joining the fight, the fan favorites
cleared the trash from the ring.
Ace Rockwell grabbed the mic, and tried to turn it over the NWA
Anarchy Owner Jerry Palmer, who simply stated..."You were part of the
original team Anarchy are the captain of this team.... you tell 'em".
Rockwell said he was given the pleasure of announcing that on August
29th in the return of War Games: The Match Beyond it would be Team
Anarchy 2009 (Mikal Judas, Rockwell, Fields & Iceberg w/ Jerry Palmer
in their corner) vs. The Unholy Alliance (Tank, Tempers, Kimo &
Shatter w/Bailey & The Rev in their corner) which delighted the
Anarchy fan base. Rockwell said but that was on August 29th, and they
still had to get through August 15th. He said it was an Anarchy
tradition to do what's become known as a "Coin Toss" match, and that
match will determine which team gets the advantage in War Games, and
Palmer had given him the match as team captain, and he also let him
pick his opponent and Rockwell said it was no secret that he wanted
Shaun Tempers in the ring one more time.
Notes:
So we now know, the main event of Hostile Environment 2009 will be the
return of War Games with Team Anarchy taking on The Unholy Alliance.
We also know that at Hostile Environment, the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight
Championship will be defended, there will be some sort of resolution
to the tag title situation, most likely stemming from the decision
made on August 15th, and The NWA Anarchy Young Lion's Championship
will be defended in a special elimination style 4 Way Dance, with 3
qualifying matches occurring on 8-15-09. Also on August 15th's TV
Taping, Rockwell vs. Tempers in the Coin Toss Match, Jeremy Vain
defending the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Championship against Truitt
Fields, Todd Sexton vs. Malachi, and the remainder of the Hostile
Environment card to be announced.

NWA Anarchy TV Report
Episode 173
June 1, 2009
WRESTLING: (n.) ’res-ling A sport of contest in which two individuals face off in unarmed combat.
ANARCHY: (n.) an-ar-key (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.
What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!
- Welcome to NWA Anarchy, this is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! We have reached our official destination of Hardcore Hell. To celebrate the occasions, John Johnson is decked out in official
1. The Entourage (“the Feature Presentation” Jeff Lewis & Michael Mosley & “Ain’t I Great” Jay Clinton & “Hollywood Hacksaw” Andrew Alexander) defeated “Merciless” Don Matthews & Jessco Blue & the Wild Bunch (“Brokeback” Billy Buck & Chris King).
Classic Matthews/Lewis finish here:
- The “Reverend” is Back in Black tonight, right on down to a black leather mask.
2. Malachi pinned “Son of Satan” Azreal to capture the Young Lion’s Title.
Azreal has dominated his opponents with shear brutality over the past several months and legally assaults Malachi with stiff kicks, chops, and knees. The Son of Satan connects with the Ted Bundy. He makes the cover, but Malachi places his foot on the bottom rope. Malachi wiggles out of the throat slip piledriver, but Azreal sits him on top. Malachi fights off Azreal from the top rope, signals a throat slit, and wins with the swan dive headbutt. Congratulations to Malachi, but I don’t buy the finish. Azreal has survived severe beatings and escaped from more devastating finishers than a swan dive headbutt.
3. “The Real” Slim J w/Bo Newsome uncled “that Bald Head Jerk” Todd Sexton w/the Technicians.
The rules are straightforward: 3 three minute rounds, 30 second breaks between rounds, participants have a five count on knockdowns, and only three rope breaks allowed for the duration of the contest.
ROUND 1, FIGHT: The first round is evenly contested with typical MMA maneuvers like triangle chokes, armbars, and chimera (almost) until Slim rocks Sexton for a four count. After referee Brent Wiley signals for the ending of round one, Sexton cheap shots the back of Slim’s cranium.
ROUND 2, FIGHT: Round two immediately finds Sexton applying a wrestling hold, the dreaded headlock. Sexton is forced to exhaust a rope break Slim reverses him with his own ankle lock. Both men have two left. Sexton wastes another rope break at the one minute mark and mounts Slim.
ROUND 3, FIGHT: Slim goes on an offensive flurry on Sexton before applying a triangle choke. The crowd commands Todd to tap, but he denies them with his final rope break. Sexton takes quick advantage with a pause in action with a superkick. The referee counts to four before Slim gets up. Slim counters with a roundhouse kick and slaps on a flying armbar. Without no rope breaks remaining, Sexton loses his testacles and is forced to tap.
4. Orion Bishop pinned “Professional Wrestling’s only Serial Killer” Iceberg w/Dan “the Dragon”
Bishop dazzles Iceberg with physical feats of strength including an overhead belly to belly suplex and a release German suplex. Iceberg nimbly eludes the spear and mercilessly squashes him with the running cannonball. Iceberg makes the cover, but Bishop kicks out. Out of frustration,
5. “The Universal Soldier” Shatter w/Jeff G. Bailey pinned “7 Figured Deal” Ace Rockwell to retain the NWA National Heavyweight Title.
Rockwell earned his title shot by surviving Jeremy Vain’s tomfoolery at the Lucky 7 Mega Rumble’s conclusion several weeks ago. The match starts out with an extended feeling out process. After commercial, Shatter methodically rips apart Rockwell’s back including Tully Blanchard’s patented slingshot suplex. After an over the top rope slingshot, Shatter gorilla press slams Rockwell back into the ring to administer more punishment. Bailey distracts the referee so Bailey can choke Rockwell. Rockwell escapes a chinlock, but Shatter counters his comeback attempt with a fall away slam. Later in the match, Rockwell reverses fortune with a tilt-a-whirl into a crossface. Shatter struggles to escape by placing his foot on the bottom rope. Rockwell looks for a lungblower, but Shatter counters with the
OVERALL: Shatter/Ace is definitely an early candidate for match of the year. They delivered exactly what a major NWA National Heavyweight Title defense should have. I’ve always said Ace is a d**n good worker and Shatter has “it.” Unfortunately, it is who determine who has “it” that matters. Orion Bishop has awesome potential, but he needs to tweak his gimmick. It seems like the crowd doesn’t react to him too much. The Iceberg/Bishop finish didn’t help him. The Azreal/Malachi finish didn’t seem right. Malachi has struggled with lower card wrestlers. Azreal has demolished everyone he has faced. Yet, Azreal loses on two moves. A surprise rollup, cradle, etc. would have made due. Slim/Sexton was business as usual. Sexton has fulfilled his role as a chicken nuts heel. The opener served its purpose with the classic ending of Lewis outsmarting Don Matthews after a distraction from Jay Clinton.

On September 26, 2009 one of the greatest most Bizarre wrestling minds will be inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame.
Dennis Coralluzzo is either loved or hated respected or despised, but no one will ever question his love for pro wrestling. Having meet Dennis in 1993 our Friendship was one I will never forget. Dennis was my mentor and a person I could always relay on.
Dennis loved the NWA and helped keep the organization alive during the lean years his match making skills were second to none. He was a big part in turning young East coast talent like Devon Storm, Inferno kid, Reckless Youth, Billy Kidman and many others into stars.
On September 26th, I get to honor the man that meant so much to me and so many in the world of pro wrestling. The NWA will honor the late great Dennis Coralluzzo with the induction into the National Wrestling Alliance Hall of Fame on September 26th at the Wayne P.A.L.

NWA Main Event TV Review by Larry Goodman
July 25, 2009
Taped in
Tony Lucassio was performing some type of spirit raising ritual on Shawn Shultz. Scott Barry informed Shultz that the NWA Board had ruled he would have to earn a shot at Mid-America Heavyweight Champion Steve-O by defeating him in a non-title match. Shultz was pissed. He said the first time Rudy Charles shows up, he loses the TV Title. “If the NWA was a public restroom, you would be the stench that lingers and makes everyone a little bit uncomfortable… when did you become champion anyway?” Lucassio brought up the thing in
(1) White Tiger pinned Brent Baronas (with Brandon Baronas) in 4 minutes with a frog splash. Competitive match early. Brent looked pretty good. Tiger is so much better. A subliminal “He’s Coming” message flashed on the screen. All I can say is with all the hype, this better be good. James brought up the show in Woodbury last week featuring Wolfie D. Tiger used The (Tiger’s) Pounce to set up his finisher.
(2) Teddy Tender pinned Brandon Baronas (with Brent Baronas) with the Gold Record 4:48.
Promo by Will Owens. With those bags under eyes, it looked like he hadn’t slept in a week. Owens let it be known that he would be force to be reckoned with in NWA Main Event.
(3) Will Owens beat Corey Hollis in 6:54 with a powerslam. The announce team pushed Owens as a disturbed individual. Hollis did the AJ Styles dropkick sequence. Owens beheaded him with a short arm clothesline. Barry talked about the crowds growing by the week at the NWA TV Studio. Owens took huge bumps on a series of misses. Crowd got behind the newcomer. He hit a spinning enzuigiri (called a Pele by James). Big time offensive comeback by Hollis here. He hit a side Russian legsweep, but Owens killed him off after a miss from the top rope.
Mike Posey introduced himself as the greatest and sexiest ref on the planet. Said Matt Boyce would not be the new TV champ without him.
(4) NWA Mid-America TV Champion Matt Boyce beat Mike Posey in 11 minutes in a non-title match. Barry tried to explain it, but the logic behind Posey getting a match with Boyce was lost on me. The announce team referenced a supposed TNA connection between Posey and Rudy Charles. Huh? Posey wrestled clean for the first five minutes. Then he clipped Boyce’s right knee (Oops) and went to work on the left one. James called Posey’s attack “unrelentless”. Posey used a variety of submissions, and spiced it up with a dropkick and an enzuigiri. Boyce made Posey laughed at the one-legged Boyce, who made him eat an enzuigiri. Boyce was selling the knee huge on the comeback. Posey went for a pin with his feet on the ropes. Charles caught him. Moments later, Boyce jackknifed Posey for the three count.
In a heavily edited promo, Boyce said unlike Shultz, he would give the fans a reason to respect the champion. White meat babyface all the way.
Promo by NWA Mid-America Heavyweight Champion Steve-O. He said the NWA BOD went over his head by making it a non-title match, because he was a fighting champion. O said with the support of the fans, he didn’t see the title going anywhere for a long, long time.
(5) NWA Mid-America Heavyweight Champion Steve-O pinned Shawn Shultz (with Tony Lucassio) at 14:22 in a non-title match. Barry said Shultz needed to get O’s title in his quest to get a shot at the NWA World Champion. It would add to the credibility of the title and the NWA if they would at least mention the champion’s name once in a while. O outwrestled Shultz for first 3 minutes. Shultz tried brawl, but came out on the short end of that as well, so Lucassio tripped O right in front of referee Michael Jones to start the heat. Shultz made liberal use of the sleeper hold. Barry said O was too far gone to make a comeback, a clear signal that one was coming up shortly. Sure enough. It was shades of Tito Santana with the flying burrito. O slammed Shultz’s head into all three turnbuckles and hit his signature combo neckbreaker. Lucassio got up on the apron. O took a swipe at Lucassio. Shultz rolled O up using the tights. Jones gave Shultz the contract for the title match. Charles came to ringside and tore it up, then stooged the finish off to Jones. The match was restarted with O immediately winning with a roll up.
The cut to a close up of Shultz in shock - wide-eyed, gaping mouth, the whole bit. Shultz went to his knees and started to cry.
Thoughts: The most compelling moments of this show were the opening promo and closing close up shots of Shultz. He’s now not only lost the TV title and his shot at the heavyweight title, so who knows what’s next, but whatever it is, it’s likely to be the most interesting thing about NWA ME. Owens promo was interesting. Boyce and O’s material was pretty generic stuff. They’ve made Charles into a major authority figure in short order, as he figured in the finishes of both key matches. They put three guys over strong with clean wins – Tiger, Tender and Owens. As of yet, no clues given about storyline directions for any of them. Tiger has gotten so much better. Tender looked like a world beater against a little guy. Best match was Owens/Hollis. You’re doing something right when the fans chant for a guy they’ve never seen before. Mike Porter did a nice job with that one camera to get those close ups of Shultz at the end. Not a great show by any means, but it had enough entertaining moments to make it worth the time.
