NWS Results From Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 7/26: Former WWE Star Hardcore Holly vs. CZW Star D.J. Hyde, An NWS Money-In-The-Bank Tables-Ladders-Chairs Match, A Four-Way Cruiserweight Title Tornado Match & More

National Wrestling Superstars completed their three-show blitz weekend on Sunday night July 26th at the Point Pleasant Beach Elks Lodge Showgrounds. A hot and enthusiastic steamy Sunday night crowd ignored the stormy weather and came out to watch the storm that was NWS under the circus-like big top.

In an opening match between two NWS newcomers, The Buccaneer defeated Tyler Veritas.
These two newcomers put on an impressive display of mat and aerial wrestling that definitely had the crowd going. In the end, the Buccaneer reversed a roll-up out of the corner to pin Veritas 1-2-3.

NWS ring announcer Johnny Falco announced that former WWE TV superstar Hardcore Bob Holly had signed an open contract for his NWS match that night, and called out the opponent NWS management had selected - "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto. Demanto came out and said that he had no intention of wrestling Holly any more this weekend, and told Commissioner Gino Moore that his contract allowed him to name a substitute if he so desired (as well as hurled a few insults at Moore), and introduced Combat Zone Wrestling star D.J. Hyde as Holly's new opponent. Commissioner Moore reluctantly agreed that Demanto was allowed to make the substitution (he also fined Demanto $150 for the insults).

In a tag-team match, NWS Heavyweight Champion "Corrupted" Corey Havoc & "The Cold-Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto defeated former ECW brawler The Equalizer & NWS tag-team champion Corvis Fear.
As expected, this match turned into an all-out brawl inside and outside the ring. After leveling Demanto with a vertical suplex that he held up for almost a full minute, Equalizer was on the verge of powerbombing Demanto when D.J. Hyde ran into the ring with a steel chair and, while the referee's back was turned, knocked Equalizer out cold with it and rolled Demanto on top of Equalizer. The referee turned around none the wiser and counted the pin for Demanto.

In a Four Way Tornado Match for the NWS Cruiserweight Title involving the champion Mighty Mikey Pacifica and challengers J.D. Smoothie, Jumping Joey Janella, and NWS newcomer Rich Swann, all four men were counted out of the ring.
With four of the best cruiserweights in the ring at the same time, this match was literally all over the place and had the fans as breathless as the wrestlers. Newcomer Swann impressed the crowd and his opponents with his lightning-fast moves, but no one wrestler dominated. Eventually, all four wrestlers took the fight to the showgrounds parking lot, where Referee S.P. Anderson, unable to get them back to the ring, counted out all four wrestlers. (Mighty Mikey Pacifica remains NWS Cruiserweight Champion).

The Nigerian Nightmares (with manager "Voodoo Queen" Sheeda & advisor Danny Demanto & bodyguard D.J. Hyde) continued their undefeated streak with a victory over Slayer & newcomer Adam Cole.
Commissioner Moore advised Demanto that D.J. Hyde did not have the paperwork to be at ringside for the match, and threatened to take him out of the main event if he did not leave the ring, which he did, and the match finally began. Although Slayer was not intimidated by the Nightmares, not knowing the meaning of the word fear (or too many other words, for that matter), he was totally out-sized and out-powered by the 350-pounders, and his partner was equally game, but equally unsuccessful. The Nightmares flattened Cole with a Nigerian Roll and covered him for the easy 1-2-3. But the beating did not end there, as the Nightmares and Demanto pressed the attack on Cole further, and D.J. Hyde returned to the ring to join in. Fortunately the heels were soon chased away by the appearance of The Equalizer and Corvis Fear and former WWE TV superstar Hardcore Bob Holly.

In the first of two main event matches, former WWE TV superstar Hardcore Bob Holly defeated D.J. Hyde.
Holly and Hyde were well-matched in their brawling skills, and fought a hard-hitting match, but the experience of the WWE veteran won out in the end, as Holly leveled Hyde with an Alabama Slam for the victory.

In the second of the main event matches, a Money-In-The-Case Ladders-Tables-and-Chairs Match, Devon Moore defeated NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion "Disco" Nicky Oceans and NWS Jersey Shore Champion "G.Q." Myke Quest.
The three combatants wasted no time living up to the title of the match, as chairs went flying and bodies went smashing into the ladder. The first ladder eventually got bent out of shape, and a second heavy-duty ladder had to be brought in. After tossing Oceans off the ladder and out of the ring, and tossing Quest off the ladder and through a table, Moore climbed the ladder himself, and unhooked the Money-In-The-Bank style briefcase from the ceiling of the tent, winning a match of his choice in NWS. All three men shook hands in a show of respect and sportsmanship as the crowd applauded and went home happy.

NWS returns to action on Saturday night August 1st in Long Branch, NJ for its annual outdoor show spectacular, which will feature a steel cage match between WWE & ECW alumni Balls Mahoney and Snitksy, followed by its return to Belleville, NJ on Friday night August 14th with appearances by One Warrior Nation and former WWE Oddities member The Giant Silva.
