What a fun show this was as The Interactive Interview gears up for Big Time Wrestling's WrestleFest 2009 which you can pick up your tickets for at http://www.BTWrestling.com. One of our recent guests, Bret "The Hitman" Hart will be appearing as will Justin Credible, Marty Jannetty, and Rob Van Dam. And, to top it all off, our guest this week will also be appearing... None other than the man they call Vader!
Plus, John Cena Sr. stops by to clear the air regarding the so-called "bashing" of the WWE that he did during a recent interview on another show. The class-act father of WWE superstar John Cena gives us a lot of insight into his relationship with his son and how he got so involved in the business we love so much.
Plus, the 3 hosts are joined again by Erik Clancy and his friend Andres as they let loose on all the hot topics of wrestling today!

VADER
Vader
- Vader is welcomed to the show for his 1st interview on TII. Vader plugs his appearance for Wrestlefest 2009 in San Jose, CA. He is looking forward to interacting with the fans and some of the boys that he hasn't seen in a while.
- On his matches with Sting, Vader says that Sting is a great wrestler and he can compare him favorably to any other wrestler he's worked including all the big names like Shawn Michaels & Undertaker. Vader says that Sting was probably the best athlete he ever worked with. "It was very difficult not have a good match with him, and it was very easy to have a great match with him"
- When speaking on his matches with Shawn Michaels, he says that Shawn was very comparable to Sting in alot of ways. He puts Shawn over as a great legend & wrestler.
- He puts over his feud with Cactus Jack as a great one. He calls Mick a "great over achiever" and what he lacked in athleticism he made up for in creativity and dare devil stunts. He says that Cactus got over by doing things that nobody would ever do and that made him stand out. Vader specifically recalls a story where Foley asked him to bloody him up really badly to make the match more brutal.
- Vader then recalls the story of how Mick Foley lost his ear. Vader says that it happened in a situation where Foley was willing to do something that nobody else was willing to do. He got his head tied in the ropes, but the ropes were steel cables and nearly choked Foley to death. Vader actually helped Foley get untied from the ropes and his ear was torn and bleeding. However, what caused the ear to fall off was when Vader started to punch him when the match restarted.
- When talking about violent moments in matches, Vader talks about his match with Stan Hansen where his eye was knocked out. He says that Stan thumbed him in the eye which caused the accident and Vader had to pop his eye back into place, and his eye still doesn't work properly. Stan also broke his nose in that match with a cowbell and that was before the match even started. Amazingly, all of that happened in the early minutes of the match and the bout ended up going about half an hour.
- He talks about his time in the WWF and says that he was too heavy for that tough schedule especially with his already existing knee injuries. He says that he was better in WCW & Japan for those reasons.
- Vader then talks about his new promotion in Japan: Vader Time Promotions. He plans on holding more events as the company grows and also wants to incorporate MMA & Wrestling into the same show. When asked if he feels that would work in the states, he says that in America, wrestling depends more on the entertainment aspect and feels that it probably wouldn't work in the states.
- Going back to his career in Japan, Vader recalls his match with Antonio Inoki where he squashed the legendary Japanese superstar. He said that when it happened, the fans actually set their seat pillows on fire and rioted.
- When recalling his attack on Gorilla Monsoon in only his 2nd night with the company, he says that his early days in the WWF were great. He came in injured and needing surgery, but the plan was that he would make his debut and then be taken off TV to allow time for the surgery. He was supposed to take 6 months off, but he made such a big splash after attacking Monsoon that Vince cut his time from 6 months to 3 months because Vince wanted him at Wrestlemania.
- He talks about his feud wtih Hogan in WCW and their series matches. He says the feud wasn't handled as well as it could have been and it wasn't given enough time to really become a major feud. He felt the matches were ok, but could have been better.
- Vader was the first wrestler to hold both the New Japan & All Japan titles. He says the reason that it happened was because many Japanese wrestlers (like Inoki) were linked to one promotion or the other, but as an American Wrestler that got over huge in Japan, it made it easier for him to hold both major Japanese titles.
- The interview then shifts to "Good Morning Kuwait" where Vader flipped his lid on the show & got arrested. The producer of the show told him to lose it as part of the act, but the host was frightened by Vader and that resulted in the incident.
Word Associations:
Harley Race: "Good Man, Good Wrestler, Successful Promoter"
Ron Simmons: "Great athlete, great football player. He had a great career in wrestling"
Eric Bischoff: "The luckiest man alive"
Vince McMahon: "The Best. Simply the best."
