April 23rd:  We regret to inform the fans that El Generico will not be able to perform this weekend in Dayton or Chicago.  He is meeting with his orthopedic surgeon today to review his MRI, but as of this morning, he was still unable to bend his knee or put any weight on it.  Kevin Steen was in contact with ROH officials this morning as well, confirming Generico’s replacement for the weekend.  Steen asked us not to announce anything until he has had a chance to address the fans himself, and to that end we offer a letter we received from Steen today at http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2744.  Both matches that were scheduled for Steen and Generico will take place this weekend, which opens up a bunch of new possibilities.

April 23rd:  On Saturday night it's Colt Cabana's return to Chicago for "The Homecoming II".  The event takes place at the Frontier Fieldhouse, 9807 Sayre Avenue, Chicago Ridge, IL 60415.  Bell time is 7:30 PM.  If he retains the championship in Dayton it will be Jerry Lynn defending vs. Colt Cabana for the ROH World Title.  Also, The American Wolves defend the World Tag Team Titles against Kevin Steen & Jay Briscoe in a 2/3 Falls Match; Chris Hero vs. Tyler Black; Bryan Danielson vs. Jimmy Rave; Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong vs. Jimmy Jacobs; Austin Aries & Rhett Titus vs. Alex "Sugarfoot" Payne & Silas Young; plus more.  Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show!!!

April 23rd: ROH officials are unsure as of now just how long El Generico will be out of action. We are hopeful that he will be able to compete in Boston on May 8^th and Edison on May 9^th. We will have another update on El Generico’s condition in Monday’s Newswire.

April 23rd: Singles competition is signed for Boston on May 8^th as Delirious, fresh off of his brutal street fight victory over Jimmy Jacobs in Markham, comes to Beantown a new man. His opponent on May 8^th is Ricky Reyes, who is simply looking to pad his wallet before heading back to WWC Puerto Rico. Delirious is anxious to show Boston that he’s back after finally putting the Age of the Fall behind him. Can he score the win in Celtic country?

April 23rd: Jerry Lynn is coming to Edison with an agenda – to prove “them” wrong. The ‘them’ he referred to is his naysayers, those who don’t think he’s capable of carrying the ROH World Title at the same level as former champions. Thus far, the voices of critics and armchair quarterbacks are only serving to fuel his desire to show why he’s the best. In Edison, Lynn has signed to face Jay Briscoe. And while it’s possible that he won’t be holding the World Title come May 9^th, that’s immaterial. “I go out there every time and leave it all in the ring,” said Lynn. “And champion or not, I will continue to do that – whether certain fans respect that or not.”
