…….
Hi Georgie-I just got back a little while ago from the K&S Show and want to give big time props to Ken and Steve for a job extremely well done. I pre-ordered my ticket back in November and received a very generous $ 40 savings over the VIP ticket price for doing so. Although there was not a huge main event name" type guest, the talent brought in by Ken and Steve were some frequently requested and rarely used guests, most of which I have not yet met, or if I did, I still had items I needed to get signed.
The weather forecast was not too promising in the days leading up to the show, especially Thursday and Friday, and that might have cost Ken and Steve some customers. However, this morning, the forecast was for very little, if any, snow and that reassured me that all the talent would make their flights. And they did- a perfect 100% appearance rate for K&S, which is really appreciated and does not happen often. A few vendor guests did not appear, however, that didn't really bother me at all.
So I trekked out this morning and was informed of another cool surprise- that my 10 year old nephew Jake would be able to make the show. Jake very badly wanted to meet Big Daddy V, who he was actually really psyched to meet at the last LOTR show but circumstances prevented that from happening. While he was there, Jake also got to take pictures with and meet a number of different wrestlers, a lot of which he had never heard of, but who he enjoyed meeting nevertheless.
Ken and Steve opened registration on time, had your information ready to go, had 8x10s for sale of all appearing talent. They were immediate with any issues that arose or necessary refunds or exchanges with no hassle whatsoever. They were also friendly, appreciative and accessible all day long. The lines ran smoothly, I was #6 on line, was not rushed at all and the photo opps they took for me came out awesome. Also, the staff was great, friendly and helpful- I have had issues with some staff members at other shows but at this show, I can't say enough about the K&S staff.
The guests that we met:
Kanyon, Patriot, Rougeau, Patrick, Onoo, Moore, Vito, Horowitz: all rare guests, first time meets for me, really friendly guys, who seemed really happy to be there.
Assassin: a big want of mine, who unfortunately missed last summer's Charlotte show, I had numerous items for him to sign.
Miller- very cool to meet a co-star of the movie "The Wrestler"- got the movie poster signed.
Neidhart- big want for my nephew based on the Raw v Smackdown video game.
Abdullah, Ivan & Nikita Koloff- have met them previously but huge names in the business who you always have things to get signed and they signed everything you had with no issue whatsoever.
Vendors for us included Dean Malenko (props to Franklin Square for bringing in a very rare guest who does not do signings), the Highlanders (Franklin Square ran a combo price that could not be refused), Big Daddy V (the reason my nephew came- he was really nice and gave us a great picture), Justin Credible ( a first time meeting for me), Animal and Paul Ellering, Ellering being a big want of mine over the years.
A great first wrestling convention experience for my nephew and just another of the great convention experiences that I have had in the last few years. I have nothing but great things to say about this show and appreciate all the effort that Ken and Steve put into this show. I will be very quick to pre-order the next time K&S runs a show.
