JANUARY 10, 1973 (WEDNESDAY) – COLUMBUS, GA – COLUMBUS MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM (Fred Ward – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Pedro Columbo & Koa Tiki defeated Frank Hickey & Red Dupree > Bob Orton, Jr., defeated Jack Evans > Midget Women’s Match: Darling Dagmar defeated Diamond Lil > The Zodiac defeated Ronnie Hill at 7:38 > Columbus Heavyweight Title Match: Hiro Matsuda defeated Bob Armstrong* to win title > Bill Dromo & Jerry Oates defeated Jack Crawford & Norvel Austin by disqualification / Notes: During the match between Bob Armstrong and Hiro Matsuda, referee Eddie Smith was knocked down during a collision involving all three men. Matsuda took advantage and attacked Armstrong using karate moves. When Smith came to, Matsuda covered Armstrong for the pin. Referee Leon Ogle gave Bill Dromo & Jerry Oates the win over Jack Crawford & Norvel Austin when Crawford ran into the ring illegally and remained, creating total chaos, that resulted in Ogle fighting with Crawford.

The match between Abdullah the Butcher and Harry Smith was not on the original card. For whatever reason, it was announced earlier in the evening that the match was to be Abdullah versus Greg Peterson. There is no explanation given for the change from Peterson to Smith. Man Mountain Blackwell substituted for Billy Spears in the match with Roberto Soto. Bearcat Wright managed Roger Kirby and Buddy Colt. Rock Hunter managed Assassin #2. Ron West and Doug Smith were credited as being referees for this card.
