NEWS and NOTES

World Wrestling Entertainment’s RAW crew will be at the Aberdeen ECC in Aberdeen, Scotland, today. The SmackDown/ECW crew will be at the 02 World Arena in Berlin, Germany. This will be the final European date for RAW and ECW, as both crews return to the states for Monday’s RAW broadcast, live from Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA. SmackDown finishes up the tour tomorrow. The Atlanta event will be the last for WWE until next week’s Survivor Series PPV event in Boston, MA.

WWE has announced the following events: January 13, SmackDown/ECW in Omaha, NE, at the Qwest Center; and February 13, RAW in Los Angeles, CA, at the Staples Center.

Total Nonstop Action will be at the Crossroads Arena in Corinth, MS, tonight. Advertised: Scott Steiner versus A.J. Styles; Beer Money defends the TNA World Tag Team Title against Eric Young & Consequences Creed; Sheik Abdul Bashir versus Rhino; Kip James versus Abyss; a three-way match featuring Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt, and Curry Man; and Angelina Love, with Velvet Sky, versus ODB. Bell time is 8:00 PM.

NWA Anarchy returns to the NWA Television Arena, at 4236 Level Grove Road, in Cornelia, GA, tonight. Advertised: New Wave (Steven Walters & Derrick Driver) defends the NWA Anarchy tag team titles against the Dynamic Duo (Chad Parham & Seth Delay). Slim J puts up his newly won Young Lion's Championship versus J.T. Talent. Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer presents the all new Melissa Coates. The Technicians (Bob E & Tyler Smith) vs. the Wild Bunch (Billy Buck & Chris King). Mikal Judas and Shadow Jackson will each have a word with Greg Hunter about their future. The Devil's Rejects (with the Reverend) exorcise their post Fright Night demons in a 6 man match. Florida Championship Wrestling will be at the Lee Civic Center in Ft. Myers, FL, tonight. Advertised: Dusty Rhodes and John Cena will be on hand when doors open at 5:30 for an autograph session. The Professional Girl Wrestling Association presents "A Banner Night" tonight at the SAW Arena in Millersville, TN, with a tribute show to women's wrestling legend Penny Banner. Advertised: For the PGWA championship, Nikki Roxx, aka Roxxi Laveaux from TNA, defends vs. Tracy Taylor. Also scheduled to appear are Mia Martinez, Scarlett Rose, XTC, Sassy Stephanie, Angel Dust, Sarah Lynn, Josianne Pussycat, Jamie D, Tasha Simone, Susan Morton & Su Yung. Wendi Weaver, the daughter of Penny Banner & Johnny Weaver, will also be on hand to present an award to one of the wrestlers. Tickets are $10. Bell time is at 7:30. The Alabama Wrestling Federation will be at the George County Fairgrounds in Lucedale, MS, tonight. Advertised: In a title vs. mask match, Heidenreich defends the AWF title vs. Doink the Clown, who will be putting up his mask. The first 50 fans will receive an 8x10. Advertised: For the NWA-SA championship, Bobby Bonecrusher defends vs. "Pretty Boy" Lloyd. In a match to determine the #1 contender for the X champion, Reverend Rouge vs. Gus Money. For the NWA-SA tag titles, Casanova Cartel defends vs. SWAT Patrol. DJ Jeff & Rico Moon vs. Lee Douglas & Rico Casanova. Brandon Groom vs. Ethan Icon. Jeddust vs. T.J. Time. The Georgia Pro Wrestling Association is in Lenox, GA, today, as participants in the Lean-Ox Festival. The parade begins at 11am and bell time is at 1pm.

World Xtreme Wrestling will be having their 7th annual “Elite 8” women's tournament at the Armory in Leesburg, FL, tonight. Tickets are $15 at the door, and $13 if bought in advance. Doors open at 6:30 and bell time is at 7:30.

Apparently, something occurred whereas Mahoney was hit by a chair by either Massy or McIntyre, or perhaps both, as it was later reported he was demanding a match with both, declaring he did not “need a chair to win”.

Apparently Paul Jones was one of them. It should be noted that Dick Hutton defeated Thesz on November 14, 1957, in Toronto, ON, to become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. According to the program for this card, the “Live Atlanta Wrestling” television program can now be seen “on Channel 11 every Saturday afternoon at 5:00”. It is also mentioned that Ray Gunkel and Don McIntyre still hold the International Tag Team Title. It was announced that Bob Nandor and the Fabulous Moolah would be wrestling in Atlanta soon.
