The NWA Elite (Shatter & Kimo with Jeff G. Bailey) will be in action. On August 12, Full Throttle Wrestling presents a "Back 2 School Special" to take place at the Country Music Barn in Elkmont, AL. Advertised: Mr. Blur & the Other Guy will defend the FTW tag titles against Joey Lightning & The INHuman Fly. The tag team of Six Feet Under put out an open challenge to any tag team for a Hangman's Death Match. Also advertised is Charlie Swinger and FTW Heavyweight Champion Orion Bishop. Update – Ultimate Fighting Championship 88 takes place at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, on September 6 for a live PPV, beginning at 7:00 PM. Advertised: Chuck Liddell versus Rashad Evans; Rich Franklin versus Matt Hamill; Karo Parisyan versus Yoshiyuki Yoshida; Dan Henderson versus Rousimar Palhares; Kurt Pellegrino versus Thiago Tavares; Matt Brown versus Dong Hyun Kim; James Lee versus Tim Boetsch; and Roan Carneiro versus Ryo Chonan. In a press release today from World Wrestling Entertainment, the company officially announced the hiring of Freddie Prinze, Jr., as a member of the creative team. Vince McMahon said that his “passion, energy, and creativity make him an excellent fit for WWE”. WWE has announced the following events: September 6 in Jamestown, NY, at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena; September 14 in Jackson, TN, at the Oman Arena; September 21 in Columbus, OH, at the Nationwide Arena; October 12 in San Bernardino, CA, at the Coussoulis Arena; October 13 in Anaheim, CA, at the Honda Center; October 16 in Arecibo, PR, at the Coliseo Petaca Iguna; October 17 in Ponce, PR, at the Auditorio Pachin Vicens; October 18 in San Juan, PR, at the Coliseo De Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot; December 19 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, at the Bank Atlantic Center; and December 20 in Tallahassee, FL, at the Leon County Civic Center. Total Nonstop Action has announced that their new 20,000 square-foot studio facility in Nashville, TN, is almost completed. Click here for spoilers from last night’s iMPACT tapings from Orlando, FL. Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net is reporting that following the tapings, Kevin Nash left angry, and Tomko is leaving the company. According to the report, Nash was upset with how he was booked last night. He did not appear in the report we were sent from the tapings. Regarding Tomko, who did appear in the final match at the tapings, the report said he has been unhappy since being suspended for skipping a fanfest for the Lockdown PPV earlier this year.
