May 16 United States Wrestling Organization results from Nashville, TN, at the Stadium Inn with a reported attendance of 89: Shane Smalls beat Justin Spade and Lee Cross in a 3-way when Smalls pinned Cross. This was a #1 contenders match for Damien Payne's USWO Jr. Championship. Seven (with Charming Charles) beat New York Gangster. Gordon did a brief interview with Steven Green, who is on crutches after a beat down he took the previous night in Gallatin. Green brings out White Tiger as his replacement for the next match. "Juicy" J.C. Crowe beat White Tiger. After intermission, Charming Charles brings Seven back out to unleash him. Seven goes after Gordon, who escapes when Spade and Tiger come out to save. Unfortunately, the two get mauled by Seven and have to be carried out. Tim Renesto (with Charming Charles) versus Cowboy Bud Ellis went to a 15:00 draw USWO Tag Team Champions Gigolo Jay Phoenix & Luscious Quinton Quarisma beat L. T. Falk & Damien Payne when Quarisma pinned Falk after Crowe interfered. As the main event began, Gary Valiant, Miss Boogie, and Arrick Andrews (from SAW) wander in to check things out (but that's all they did). NAWA Ring Champions results from the National Guard Armory in Rome, GA, on May 15: in the first round of a tournament to determine a new NAWA Heavyweight Champion, Bulldog Raines over Bruiser Eden (with Jackie Rosedale), Jason Valentine over John Arden, Waylon Rhodes over Jason Fury, and Ced G. Sanford over Josh Hate; Chris Lightning & Lamar Phillips over Mike Reed & Tyler Smith; the Exotic Ones (Rick Michaels & Simon Sermon) over Chris Ganz & Air Paris, followed by Paris turning on Ganz, leading to Paris over Ganz to win the NAWA Cruiserweight Title in an impromptu match. The National Wrestling Alliance is ramping up the scale of the show to be held at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, on June 7. The event will include hall of fame inductions, although the NWA has actually previously announced all of the honorees the past few years with no formal ceremony. Those being honored are Lou Thesz, Sam Muchnick, Harley Race, Eddie Graham, Dory Funk, Jr., Jim Barnett, Lelani Kai, the Rock & Roll Express, Saul Weingeroff, Gordon Solie, Lance Russell, and Jim Cornette, who will be master of ceremonies.
