…..

I hope everybody had a great New Years. I had a blast in 2007. It was my first year back in the New York area. I had a blast being the WSU announcer. It gave me the chance to commentate on matches that will feature the next generation of womens wrestling superstars.

Alicia had it all in my opinion. She was the ulimate heel. Alicia had the rare trait on knowing how to work a crowd. I was very impressed on how Alicia went out on the 12/22 WSU show. She had a kick ass match against Becky Bayless. They brawled in the context of a match that made sense. I was impressed how tough Becky Bayless was in getting speared through a thick wooden board that was not gimmicked. Even Terry Funk would be impressed. I'm glad Alicia is leaving the biz [for now] as one of the top women. It's scary that Alicia is not even at her prime yet.

Becky Bayless rules. I'm a mark for her. Becky can be a great face or heel with no problems. I especially was impressed with Becky's promos. I interviewed Becky and she even cracked me up. Becky is going to be a big player in 2008. Hell Becky worked a hardcore match that had me marking out [She's hardcore!, she's hardcore!]

Alexa Thatcher is  going to be a great technical wrestler. She has looks and knows the mechanics on actually knowing how to wrestle. When Alexa sharpens her interview skills and personality, she will be the total package.

Amy Lee is the Lisa Lamoponelli of wrestling. Amy knows how to brawl, work the mic, and is the queen of one liners. Less F bombs, less threats of skull fucking, and less threats of using a strap on would be great. We all know that's not going to happen. Amy Lee is the "Queen Of Extreme". Amy rules. Plus Amy knows how to run a locker room.

I was very impressed on how everybody from WSU grew together as a group. It was fun watching all of the girls improve as wrestlers, workers, and personalites. All of the girls are professional. I was most impressed how most of them have actual wrestling boots and ring gear [male indy workers can take notice]. It makes the product look more professional.

The only thing I was disapointed on the WSU 12/22 show was the male aspect. It was total internet-childish nonsense that went too far. One indy manager has created internet wars. He was booked to get attacked by another indy wrestler, who happens to hate him for his internet articles. Keep in mind, when you wrestle, you are giving your body to another worker. The art of wrestling is to make it look real, but not intentionally hurt your opponent. A stiff work still requires cooperation. I still look at wrestling as a art form.

The indy wrestler decided to punch the manager full blast [unprofessional]. Than he proceeded to jump off the top rope and stomp on the managers chest at full force. I was horrified. The manager could've had a concussion, crushed sternum, or worst. It can be a liability for any promoter. My advice is not to go out of your way to hurt anybody. Its not professional. If you have that much heat with a individual, don't work with them. Bret Hart never tried to hurt Shawn Michaels in the ring. Shane Douglas never tried to hurt Flair in the ring. Hurting another worker is not professional. Especially when the wrestler is 300 pounds and the manager is 100 pounds. Keep in mind, I'm friends with the wrestler. Too bad he doesn't want to listen.

I had a blast doing autograph signings this year. I was fortunante to meet John Tatum on 2/07. Thank you to Bud Carson [your store is awesome] and K & S for the UWF reunion. It gave me the opportunity to meet John Tatum. I didnt even recognize Johnny. I'm glad that Tatum is doing well in Florida with his family. I was also glad too see Buddy Roberts and Steve Williams. I'm glad both of them on doing well.

I finally met Roddy Piper in 6/07 in NYC. I never got the chance to meet Piper after all of these years. Piper was funny and professional as possible. I even became friends again with Jasmin.

I had a blast in 8/07 in Long Island for Scott [super agent] Epstein and somebody. I was able to hang out with so many wrestlers that I have been friends with for so long. I even told Terry Funk how he is the greatest wrestler [mark out moment. I thanked Mick Foley for his compliment of me in his first book [ego moment]. I was able to hang out with Dawn Marie, Talia, Baby Doll, and others. I had a blast.

I want to thank Darren Wise for booking me in 2007. The drives to your shows suck. But you treat me great. I enjoyed managing Darren in his hardcore matches. He even lets me hit oppnents with a frying pan and cookie sheets. Darren rules. I even got to sign autographs next to Bruno Sammartino [classy guy].

I want to thank all of the promoters who booked me. I still love wrestling and signing autographs. I still love interacting with all of the fans. I'm nobody without them. I still love being around the wrestlers. I still love the business. I still love [sometimes] super agent Scott Epstein.

I even got a chance to watch different wrestling groups on DVD in 2007. I saw Chikara for the first time. It was one of the best indies. It was totally different. Army Ants, Ice Cream Masks, and Mike Quackenbush [wrestlings best kept secret]. Necro Butcher still rules. Too bad I never got to manage him [hint to all promoters]. Lufisto is awesome [the Necro Butcher of women wrestlers]. I saw the WWE World Class DVD [thanks for the .5 second that showed me]. The DVD was good, but not as great as the Heroes Of WCCW [my all time favorite DVD].

I want to thank all of my fans who subscribe to
www.missyhyatt.net. I hope to see many new fans on my site in 2008. I'm glad to see my special guy [despite our rocky 2007] is finally getting his dream job [not wrestler, ultimate fighter, or porn star]. I wish WSU a great 2008 [hopefully you can find a champion that can fill Alicia's boots].
