In January With Major Stars Coming To Town
While you're making your New Year's celebration plans (or recovering from them, depending on when you are reading this), don't forget to make plans to be a part of National Wrestling Superstars as NWS kicks off 2008 with six huge events in January (with lots more to follow for the rest of the year)BR>
On Sunday afternoon, January 13th, NWS Delaware affiliate Funkdafied Wrestling Federation kicks off the 2008 wrestling season with A New Year of Funk at Everett Meredith Middle School 502 S. Broad Street in Middletown, Delaware with a 3:30pm bell time. Scheduled to appear in Middletown are America's hero The Patriot, Sal Sincere, Danny Doring, Self-Employed, Hate Breed, Gemini Trojans, Lumberjack Munroe, B Fehrm, Fro Bro, Ruff Rider, Maddog, Johnny Maxx, Breaker Morant, Dark Karnival, and The Fighting Elvis. Tickets are priced at Ringside - $15, Gen Admin - $12, All Tixx - $15 at door. Tickets are available by calling 302-420-7287
On Friday night January 18th, NWS returns to the perennial popular Manville, NJ VFW Hall, 600 Washington Avenue (right off South Main Street & minutes from I-287), with the action beginning at 7:45pm. History will be made in NWS that night, as it will be the first-ever appearance of Nick Dinsmore, better known to WWE fans as the happy-go-lucky Eugene. Joining him will be former ECW star and Philadelphia favorite The Blue Meanie, two other former ECW stars in The Zombie and Julio Dinero, and former WWE & ECW star and perennial Manville favorite "America's Hero" The Patriot. They will be joined by a host of local mat standouts including Nate Mustang, Roman, Indian Brave Draven, Rich "Ice Pick" Lowinski, and Myke "G.Q." Quest.
And on Saturday night January 19th, NWS hops over to North Plainfield, NJ, to the Italian-American Social Club's Crystal Room, 403 Somerset Street in North Plainfield, NJ (just off Route 22 and minutes from I-78), beginning at 7:35pm. Making his North Plainfield area debut will be none other than former WWE tag-team and intercontinental champion, the legendary "El Matador" Tito Santana. He will be joined by the World Famous TV Clown and arrogant WWE bad boy Salvatore Sincere who will take on north Jersey wrestling standout Fred "Bonecrusher" Sampson in a "Body Beautiful Posedown".

Then on Sunday, January 20th, the NWS Delaware affiliate, Funkdafied Wrestling Federation concludes a busy weekend with A Whole Lot of Funk! at the Chrisitan Fire Company, 2 E. Main Street, Christiana, Delaware, minutes from the Christiana Mall with a 3:30pm bell time. Appearing on this spectacular event will be Danny Doring, Self-Employed, Hate Breed, Gemini Trojans, Lumberjack Munroe, B Fehrm, Fro Bro, Ruff Rider, Maddog, Johnny Maxx, Breaker Morant, Dark Karnival, Nicky Oceans, and The Fighting Elvis.Ringside - $15, Gen Admin - $12, All Tixx - $15 at door. Less than a week later on Friday night January 25th, NWS returns to the South River, NJ VFW Hall, 31 Reid Street (right off Main Street, minutes from Route 18), with a 7:45pm bell time. And what a return it will be, headlined by a huge name who is literally a huge man, the master of the "Stinkface", former WWE star Rikishi. Also sharing the spotlight will be two other stars from TV wrestling, former ECW star and Philadephia favorite The Blue Meanie, and former WWE and WCW star "America's Hero" The Patriot. Those three superstars will join a card that features the Second Annual Jersey J-Cup Tag-Team Invitational Tournament. There has never been a better tag-team tournament in all of pro wrestling; just ask the hundreds of fans who attended the first one. And that is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.
