I am so excited Georgie,  last night was the best Raw in a long time.  And I believe we owe it all to your web site and the wrestling fans that day by day read it and give their opinions on it.  I now am certain that the WWE does read it too.  A couple of months back you asks the question "what did the WWE need to do or change to get more people to watch it." or something like that.  We, the fans gave our opinions and whamo....they did what a lot of us wanted to see.  And I really believe they read it on your website. So thanks one more time for the opportunity to voice our opinions.

of just how good a segment USED TO BE..... in the days BEFORE Hollywood writers
came to suffocate WWE.
 
Austin's segment last night was a major supreme dose of nostalgia & well appreciated!!
 
The Writers Strike was actually a good thing...... for RAW.

Carlos, Meltzer told me today that the strike didn't affect WWE writers, they are not in the Guild.  But I agree once again, Raw was excellent.  And we need more of Stone Cold and we definitely need more of DX !!!

WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan is recovering from a stroke he recently had. Mulligan temporarily lost vision in his left eye and control of the left side of his face.

Hi Georgie:
   I was saddened to hear of the passing of Tom Stanton.  Around 15 years ago, I had the pleasure of having his son Tom, Jr. in my Algebra I class at Camden County Tech in Sicklerville, New Jersey.  In my 30 years of teaching, I can honestly say that Tom was one of the best algebra students I ever taught.  He was studying to be an electrician and was in the National Honor Society.

My dear friend Kathy Fitzpatrick wanted me to post this for her:
Just to let you know, I am doing a low dose of chemo for the next maybe 6 months.
Feeling okay I will be doing it twice a week and yes will still be working.
Just wanted to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers. It does mean a lot to me. I do know that in this crazy wrestling business I have some wonderful friends.
Of course some people have come out and said other things concerning my condition. Please unless you hear from me, or GOOD friends of mine, PLEASE don't believe those nasty rumors.
Hope to see all of you down the road.

Author Irvin Muchnick is interviewed in a documentary on CNN about professional wrestling that will air for the first time on Wednesday, November 7, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.The hour-long program, entitled “Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling” and part of the CNN Presents series of special in-depth reports, covers the topic of drugs and death in the industry. This issue rose to public consciousness following the June double-murder-suicide of wrestler Chris Benoit and is now the focus of investigations by two committees of the House of Representatives.
Muchnick is author of WRESTLING BABYLON: Piledriving Tales of Drugs, Sex, Death, and Scandal and co-author of BENOIT: Wrestling with the Horror That Destroyed a Family and Crippled a Sport. He is working on the forthcoming book CHRIS AND NANCY: The True Story of the Benoit Murder-Suicide and Pro Wrestling’s Cocktail of Death.
 
Spoke to Dave Meltzer, he was suppose to be on the show but at the last minute, they told him they couldn't use him.

The Fabulos Moolah's passing was covered during the final segment of Monday's Pardon The Interruption.  The segment was the "Happy's."  Whenever the "Happy Trails" section comes up, Tony Kornheiser always begins with "A melancholy happy trails to.." when it covers someone's passing.  Kornheiser factually reported on Moolah's death, noting the origin of her name.  Both he and Wilbon shared a memory of watching her wrestle.

Some of us old time wrestling fans might remember Harold Poole, who wrestled for a short time, but was best known as a body builder.  He has started his own website.
 
If I was telling some road stories like some of the wrestlers, I could tell a great story about how Harold and Gus the Greek and my girlfriend Donna and I got stuck in Philly going to a WWF event.  The car broke down, and it was pouring rain, and Gus went for help and got us some hamburgers.  He came back soaking wet, with burgers under his jacket, and all we could do was laugh.  You had to see it to believe it.  He was so pissed.  But we had a great time.
I really should write a book, I have so many road stories to tell.  Maybe once a week I should write a paragraph or two about some of those stories.  Such wonderful memories.
